    some of these font families are priced $200 - $500 +

                          I've used a lot of ACID fonts, and I think I paid for their full catalog once (which was reasonable at the time, the hard part is searching them).

                          When I was at AVN, if I knew I could have written off the purchase on my taxes, I would have bought from the House Industries catalog, especially Neutraface. They had a way of doing fonts just right.

                          Aside from that, I can't justify it at the moment, but if a paying client really has something that calls for it, I'm down.
