Ever since President Trump started on his tariff tirade the short-term economy has been scary as hell.
The US Stock market had its' biggest one day crash since the pandemic, losing trillions (with a T!), Bear market, worst since 1987. Meanwhile Trump and his pundits are saying 'Don't worry about your 401K being wiped out'.
But what about we porn professionals? Supposedly porn is 'recession proof' since the theory goes that when times get bad people need a little relief, as in splooge on their keyboards (or phone). But this time around this doesn't seem to be the case.
Now I have fifteen years of data showing mat March-April is the worst time of the year for paysite sales. But usually during this time other revenue streams hold fairly steady (upsells, cross-sells, affiliate rebills and cam signups, etc). But again, not this time around...
So how is it going for you? Things will pick up in May, especially when the tariffs dust settles - but that's also when people should start to feel the affects of these tariffs.
What are you doing differently to get through this crazy period? For me it is building new sites, optimizing old ones and reaching out to affiliates. You?
