Multifocal contacts - Anyone wearing them?

How do they compare to varifocal eyeglasses, just been informed by the optomotrist that I need eyeglasses for long and short-sightedness and saw they had multifocal contacts as an option, so trying to weigh up the pros and cons.

TIA for any advice you can offer

I did not even know that this was a thing. Do they work like progressive lenses for glasses? That shit make me walk like I'm drunk.

      From what i understand, yes.

Although I think its just near/far no middle ground, hence why I'm trying to get some feedback off those who may have tried them already

        They just want your money.

Get two pair. One for lounging round the house looking at screens/reading.

The other for driving and walking around outside.

Glasses unless you think contacts will really help you get laid and paid.
