wireless networking help
Ok, I have a wireless router. I've had my old laptop and my main computer connected to it and working fine for awhile... I just got a new laptop today, and ditched the old one, the new notebook has a built in wireless nic card. As soon as I turned on my notebook, Windows asked me if I wanted it on a network and I said yes then picked wireless. It was on the internet, but then my main computer wasnt. I kept getting DNS errors when I tried going to websites. So I shut down my notebook and then my main computer was working again. They can ping each other and the router fine. They both have different IP addresses so I know its not that conflicting or anything. Does anyone know whats wrong and how I can get both my computers on the internet without problem? Thanks

you need to set up you're encryption, tipically wireless routers will allow one connection with the basic encryption turned on.. but if you try to add more than 1 with out either disableing it or changing it.. one computer won't get online. read the instructons that came with you're router.. it will tell you the specific settings for you're router.
