Business Suggestions for a simple ecommerce / shopping cart system?

Can anyone suggest an ecommerce/shopping cart script that has a clean, simple front-end for customers?

    Thanks :0)

I use Shopify for one of my mainstream sites. The monthly fee is like $47 per month I think.

Check out Square Space too. I know you are not looking for a website builder but you can use just their shopping cart I believe.

Another vote for Woocommerce on WordPress. RocketGate has a payment plugin, and I think CCBill and Verotel do too.

Magento is still favorable, I hear.

In the mainstream, Shopify is everywhere.

How are the template systems with the above mentioned platforms? Are they simple to edit or do you need a little more knowledge of how they operate to edit the look and feel?

The default template that is built to go with WooCommerce, Storefront, is really good. I use it for a variety of clients who want something simple.

Ultimately Magento and WordPress both require some expertise to really understand how their systems work, but there are a variety of free or low-cost options available. It can be dangerous to just grab stuff off-the-shelf though. You can go down the theme and plugin rabbit-hole and get lost pretty easily. Bespoke development for these platforms is prevalent and can be necessary if you want something specific.

                netbilling also have a gateway.

shoptimizer is fast loading theme, unlike the majority out there that require like 20 plugins to function.
