    Looking for a tech business partner

    Heya,

    Hope you guys are all doing ok.

    I made a website for Spanish speaking markets
    It's a "dating" website with a great domain name.
    Dating on spanish markets pretty much means escort, but there are some subtle differences.

    The site has been sitting here for several months as I do not have time to focus on it.

    I am looking for tech person who can be :
    - basic wordpress developer (very basic stuff needs to be done)
    - able to scrap some datas (phone numbers) from competitors, then send whatsapp messages in bulk to people who want to advertise themselves on the site.

    We manage the site together, bring the new accounts, etc
    There is huge potential on these markets.
    I do not care at what time you work, what you do, as long as we make it grow it's all that matter. I will not micro-manage you.

      Those are pretty basic requirements. Why not hire someone to do the work instead of partnering up?

              Because I want someone that's autonomous and can manage himself with a common goal, I'm not looking for an employee.

              I already run 2 other businesses and it's hard for me to find time to focus on something else

                      First, nice to meet you. Next, I think you're going about this the wrong way.

                      What you're offering is a technical assistant role, involving basic WordPress updates and scraping contact data. That kind of work is relatively simple and task-based. If you're calling someone a “partner,” then you should be prepared to offer a share of ownership, decision-making power, and a fair portion of the revenue. Real partners expect and deserve that level of involvement and compensation.

                      If you're just looking for someone to do grunt work while you retain full control, it’s better to hire a freelancer or contractor rather than use the word “partner.” It sets the wrong expectation.

                      Wishing you luck with the project regardless.

                          I think everyone has come to that conclusion - do work for me - waste your time and if it doesn't go - thanks anyways. You're not lasting long as well scraping from other sites but I can't tell you how many times people think that working for free has potential when you get paid for actually doing the same job and still be offered a portion of the company.
