'Link exchanges' are supposedly a bad practice according to Google, and you'd think Google can easily detect it these days (including 'A-B-C' trades). Sometimes I've even been refused a link exchange by another webmaster for this reason.
The same is true, or much worse, for linking between your own sites.
Obviously, you can post on Social Media, but these are all 'no follow' links, so good for traffic only?
Is paid links the only way to go (against Google's rules, but harder to detect, and perhaps not applied so much anyway for porn sites)?
