    Photoshop issue with 'money' images?

Is there a workaround for the problem of not being able to manipulate/edit images with currency in it through Photoshop?

This has started happening every time i try to open up any stock photos that has currency in it :/

This has been an ongoing thing for decades. The treasury has had measures in place for decades to track or discourage scanning, photocopying photographing and using Photoshop with money.

When I worked at AVN, we had times where we needed images of cash for editorial content, and little funny things would happen if I was working with scans or photos of real money. I don't remember us getting a visit from the secret service, but I did find myself looking over my shoulder some times.

It's much easier to use stock art.

Just re-read your post, and noticed this is happening even with stock art. I'm wondering what Adobe Firefly would do if you asked it for editorial images of currency.

            Yeah its stupid.

All I want to do is remove the background from this image and leave the wrist, hand and fanned bills... Its not even an image that I'd imagine anyone could use for counterfeiting

There doesn't appear to be any issue pasting the wikimedia image of a dollar bill into Affinity Photo. You may want to try that alternative.

Yeah been having the same issue with Envato elements with money - not every image, but about 15%. Sucks dick.

GIMP is fun. Use it on Linux and Windows.

Draw a path around image you want to keep.

I have only used gimp for every single image or thumb or banner I've ever worked with since I started

You really can't avoid it these days. Using the last standalone version CS6 is like using a flintstone to light your oven. I mean it's possible but do you really want to?

Alternatively Affinity Designer 2 is an excellent substitute for Photoshop without the weird licensing, but I'm not sure if it solves the currency issue.
