Fucking well saidWhat Iām about to say is not a personal attack on you, please keep that in mind. Iām just sharing my experience from attending shows over the past 2 decades.
The topics you listed are for beginners. Any affiliate that can send decent traffic should already know these things as they are very basic skills.
Having said that, Iād like to point out that shows are meant to be networking events between service providers (programs, billers, hosts) and people who can send them sales.
The people financing these shows (service providers) have no interest in dealing with Joe Schmo whom is still learning the basics. They want to meet the people that can actually drive significant amounts of sales.
So if you start catering to newbies, you lose the people who are paying big money to attend. The show organizers business model would fall appart.
Now, having said that, letās also acknowledge that times have changed. The lionās share of traffic has been consolidated between a few dozen companies and the odd one-man-army.
Its hard for businesses to justify buying big packages while show organizers are dealing with shrinking profit margins.
Do I have the answer to their problems? No. But I definitely know that encouraging the growth of everybodyās business is the way forward, even if that means paying for tickets that used to be free

Or when we wanted to walk into a bar in the old center when we saw police running to us.Yeah... remember we were walking down the street coming from Park Llleras and the police stopped you and extorted you?

And 2 woman came out of the bar fighting, one with a knife in her shoulder
We didn't enter that bar.
Policeman didn't even get my weed. Only took 25 USD out of my wallet.
So i had to get my hidden money out of my sock when they went
It isn't like 15 years ago in Vegas with a seperate Internext hotel and a lot of affiliate programs throwing parties.
everything is fake

Since 2011... Thank you.
But there is no shortage of attractive models and creators at the show.
All of the porn agents are there, and they give badges to their clients.
Cam companies bring dozens to hundreds of models with them.
Studios hire pornstars to sign/appear at their booths.
I dont think the show lacks pornstars. creators or models.
And many just show up to Vegas for the parties and the Awards Show anyway.
The more the merrier doenst necessarily make sense when you need to police the crowd size we have.
But if you want a freebie, I can get you free tickets to the GayVN Awards Show on Monday, January 20th if you and Claudia Marie are interesting in coming. Im not joking... its actually a fun night, no homo. Everyone is welcome.Comment

Who a show chooses to make feel welcome and who a show chooses to comp can be indicative of who they want at the show. If a show approves some people and not others, in a particular role, that can also just, ya know, feel bad. So I understand objecting on principle, regardless of the specific amount.
I kinda wish Internext and AVN were still separate shows because I have super different goals at each. I feel particularly nostalgic for the years things were at the Venetian. I think my favorite year might have been when it was BondCon, Internext, AVN all in a row.
Why did those shows stop being at the Venetian, anyone know?Comment

The Venetian was nice. My last show 2008? It was a joke a by then.Who a show chooses to make feel welcome and who a show chooses to comp can be indicative of who they want at the show. ^^^^^ EXACTLY ^^^^^The topics you listed are for beginners. Any affiliate that can send decent traffic should already know these things as they are very basic skills.
Having said that, I’d like to point out that shows are meant to be networking events between service providers (programs, billers, hosts) and people who can send them sales.

Do I have the answer to their problems? No. But I definitely know that encouraging the growth of everybody’s business is the way forward, even if that means paying for tickets that used to be free
Exactly. Who the hell would complain about this price? It's a bargain, and its one of the best shows too.

Holy shit dude...!
Then what the fuck are you bitching about? Buy your tickets and attend the show already. Trade shows like this aren’t just events—they’re investments in your company’s future. Even though you may own your business, you’re also an employee of it, and it’s your responsibility to do everything possible to ensure its growth and success. That means meeting as many people as possible, exploring opportunities, and staying ahead of industry trends.
The $350 ticket price is a small cost compared to the doors this event could open for you. Think about it: everyone you meet there will be serious about their craft, whether they’re content creators, affiliates, hosting providers, or other professionals. If they’re paying to attend, they either take their work seriously, can afford it, or both. These are exactly the types of people you want to connect with—high-value contacts who can help you expand your business. Unless of course, you don't give a shit anymore.
Complaining about not being invited for free doesn’t just miss the point—it reflects poorly on your commitment to your own success. If you’re serious about growing your company, skipping this opportunity over a modest ticket price isn’t just shortsighted; it’s a disservice to your business.Comment

Theo bought the AVN and decided that it was simply too expensive to continue to run it in conjunction with CES.Who a show chooses to make feel welcome and who a show chooses to comp can be indicative of who they want at the show. We had a lot of people complain about the costs of rooms during CES.
So he moved the show away from CES and away from the Venetian.
Rooms were much less expensive on a different weekend and at a different venue.
Now rooms are just expensive everywhere and every weekend.Comment
