Don't feel bad, no one knew bitcoin will become what became today.

I have a question, is there a change there will be another type of crypto that will be as bitcoin in 10 years? I have some small amount in USDT, I want to buy some new crypto and leave it for 10 years...

Any predictions which crypto will be new bitcoin?

Back in 2011 I was buying weed from this guy who told me about bitcoin, he was mining it on his desktop and was all fascinated by this shit. I didn't think too much of it at that point, wonder what happen to that fella though.

But I do imagine a lot of the early adopters sold out early as well thinking they had struck gold at $1 .. $10 .. $100 etc.

I know for a fact the guy who was buying drugs online had at least 100's if not 1000's of BTC, pretty sure he OD'ed and died somewhere around 2014-2016 when fent really entered the scene. He was buying drugs with BTC and getting paid from people he sold to in Canadian dollars from what I remember, and buying more BTC to buy drugs with. I thought BTC was some criminal shit and a scam at the time because the only thing I knew anyone was doing with it, was buying drugs on the silk road. He was telling me about TOR and the dark web, and I went to look once for myself and you can imagine my horror when I used TOR once and saw basically the worst of humanity, and everything was priced in BTC. After I saw what he was getting involved with, I peace'd out on that friendship in a hurry and, in my mind, I associated BTC with scams, crime, and gross shit like TOR.

Imagine if he had got clean, and then pulled his laptop off the shelf in 2025 with 1000 BTC...
