George Bush received 47.88 percent of the vote.

George BUSH did not receive half of the whole fucking country, he did not even receive as many votes as the loser of the election. He did however win the electoral college.

I know they don't teach shit about Canadian government in U.S. schools but I thought the canadians were more enlightened. At least that is what I am told over and over and over and over. I would think that if the freedom and security of our country depended almost solely on our proximity to another country, we would learn how they elected their leaders..eh?

I guess I was mislead.. eh?

first, grab a dictionary, second, understand that I was always right before I was successful. Success has no relevance here except mine is the bitter pill most of you 5 bucks a day pillars of liberal opinion have to swallow. :1orglaugh

Sorry... I just can't comprehend your "success". This is not thru a lack of trying tho........

Smart guy? Me? Sorry, but I don't reach your high estimation of me.

On Cybernet... no, sorry I am too busy to attend, but will make a note of your invitation to speak. I assume you will be permitted to open your mouth there? :1orglaugh

well 47.88 is close enough to half the country. And if he only had 2 percent he would not be leading right now. That's why I'm saying he was chosen by half of your country! Simple as that.

For me, I don't "hate" anyone, and the "thing" is on that list.

A more accurate description is that I totally despise the "thing" and his "friends". It is a very thin line tween being both negligent and criminal and this rogue operation have already stepped over.... Time will tell more...

You can SAY whatever you want. You can SAY whatever you want as many TIMES as you want. It doesn't make it fact.

For example, I can SAY that my cock is 12 inches long. I can SAY that over and over. As many times as I SAY it, it does not make it fact. The fact still remains that my cock is only 9 1/2 inches long.

The FACT is that George W. Bush DID NOT receive more than 50% of the votes. He did not even receive exactly 50% of the votes. In FACT, he received LESS votes than the loser of the election.

You can't argue with facts.

I was referring to his less than accurate spelling of the word "genius" when trying to make a point about intelligence.

I think the point the person was trying to make is that a significant number of Americans voted for Bush.

Herein lies the problem:

If the number of people that voted for Bush is significant, that makes the number of people who didn't vote for Bush, and the number of people that voted for Gore, even MORE significant.

That might be true if the percentage that voted for Gore was significantly more than the percentage that voted for Bush, but it wasn't.

Its a republic. it is not a democracy. pretending something illegal happened is silly.
The election happened and the proceedures governing it took effect.
Liberals want to pretend it was something underhanded but thats how they vent when they lose.

My statement was just an example of "fact". I am not a liberal and I don't have any problem with the way the election turned out. Do I think the smarter of the two is in office.. nope. Do I think that GW is a good president..nope. Would I rather have Clinton..yep. But none of that is important..I was just trying to teach Miss Canada 2003 a little bit about how we elect a president down here.

Some people in Canada are stupid, same as in the states. You cant beat out genetics man.

Only difference is that here we are force fed some american history along with our canadian history... although sadly our schools are now focusing more 'n more on canadian history (why, there is a whopping 200 years of it! whee, enough for one semester) and starting to exclude the rest of the world. I guess we are learning from our neighbours :(

You do realize Bush won on election night and all the recounts. If Gore was president, we would have a president elected by the courts. Not the other way around.

The supreme court should have not been involved, but the banana republic florida supreme court made up soley of 7 democrat justices overstepped their powers.

You lie with dogs, you get fleas. Cheritin, Schoroeder, etc are not people I would support.
