i was sat at my desk looking out at a girl and a boy holding hands walking down the canal talking. they were about 10 or 11. i thought heh, cute, and went back to work. then i saw this bird hopping along and trying to fly, but it couldnt. so did the boy, he went up to it and kicked it into the canal laughing.

:-(

if laws did not prevent me, i would be beating that kids head against the ground and showing him how it feels to be the weaker animal.

*sigh*

Maybe the boy thought "Oh, this poor bird. It can't fly, and that's all birds really can do. It must feel terrible to live in a world where it cannot perform the function it was born to do. Maybe I should give it a chance at becoming something more. Something like a swimming bird? Then it wil be better than all the other birds! At least, I should give the poor thing just one chance at greatness. It deserves at least one chance."
