A Spider in my PC! (Serious Post - No Poo)

So earlier on today, I realised my top front case fan had stopped working. No big deal - Shit happens, so I look on amazon for a replacement - About 20 bucks - No biggy - Arrives tomorrow.

So I take the glass side off my PC for a closer look, and there's all spiderwebs around the top fan! The rest of the insides are pristine. Even the lower fan has no cobwebs on it, other than some trailing down from the top fan - Most strange!

So I get a handheld hoover on high, and start sucking out the webs... Then the fan starts back up! Bonus!

Now I have a spray can that I use on my CCTV cameras outside, (Spider X) to detract spiders, but I cant really use it on the fans, inside the PC for [obvious-reasons] plus its sticky!

So question is, anything I can place inside the computer case that will passively detract spiders? If it were the season, I'd place a couple of 'Conkers' (Horse Chestnuts) inside the case... They are supposed to repel spiders, but its the wrong time of year...

    Any suggestions?

Stick a post-it note on it saying "Arachnids not welcome".

Vacuum your house better and get all the cobwebs gone wherever they are, so less spiders inside.

Leave some dead flies a small distance from your PC. It will lure them away.

Put the case on legs, and spray the legs with spider spray. Make a shelf to go above the PC, slightly larger than the PC, and spray that with spider spray, so they can't drop onto it.

He should write it in German.

do y'all have daddy longlegs up there? if so, probs one of those

I get them in my place, they like to hang out on the kitchen ceiling and the shower. don't mind them at all. they eat tiny little bugs like gnats and ants, don't bite people or cats

fucking with your comp is a different story though

try spraying a lil peppermint oil mixed with water around the machine. not inside it obvs. most insects don't care for peppermint. it keeps the ants off my balcony anyway

        also this:

It's always important to clean your computer at least twice a year to get rid of crap and dusk - that includes keyboard and checking battery power if it's wireless. That also includes doing virus - malware etc. checks on your system to always keep it up to date and clean as well.

Personally I have an internal back up and external just in case so I won't loose anything in a worst case scnerio.

For the CCTV cams outside i always use WD40, just spray the housing, works perfect!
