                                                                                          I think I got about 30 emails like this between yesterday and today (in english and spanish), with different subjects and filenames and extensions (.com and .pif). And its getting worse. Many from the same person. I can't find any info about this virus, but it seens like it gets the email from your website when the surfer visits it and send you this emails every time the infected surfers connects to internet.

                                                                                                  I can shed some light on this email spam. I've received about 30 of them myself, all saying the same thing, but many are in different languages and are from different email addys too.

                                                                                                  Here's what I was doing ---

                                                                                                  I have about 14 HUGE digital originals of my dog. I attached them to reply mails and sent them back to this dipshit...and it IS one single dipshit. It may not be much, but it makes ME feel a bit better

                                                                                                  Here's when I did about an hour ago --

                                                                                                  The latest in this line of spam came from the email address of a company called "microwavesolutions.com"
                                                                                                  I did a whois and phoned them. I spoke with their admin, who informed me that the email address in question what that of the company president! I explained what was going on, that I was getting multiple spams from that addy, and she was very surprised. Why? Because the company president is away on business. I told her that there is probably a (turkish) hacker that has gotten in and is making use of their email server.

                                                                                                  I forwarded the spam with the attachment to her, and she's having her techie's look into it. She was very thankful that I called to warn her.

                                                                                                  --- folks, for 3 days now that multi-lingual spam has been hitting me. The message in English reads as:
                                                                                                  "Hi! How are you?

                                                                                                  I send you this file in order to have your advice

                                                                                                  See you later. Thanks

I did eventually realize it was putting the translated part at the top, for some reason by default I was looking UNDER the damn table..... DUH!!!!

                                                                                                                                      english - pretty much fluently
                                                                                                                                      german - reasonable
                                                                                                                                      french - reading: a little bit
                                                                                                                                      latin - reading: a very little bit
                                                                                                                                      spanish/italian/portuguese - reading: a _VERY_ little bit (never learnt anything but due to the latin i can reason some things)

                                                                                                                                      but this is nothing special over here, at school (age 12 - 16/17/18) everybody learns dutch, english, german and french. because i did gymnasium i also learnt latin and greece (i totally forgot anything about greece )

                                                                                                                                          timinator... I have people I talk to from all over the world, literally.... and whenever they say something I don't understand, they kind of teach me a little.

                                                                                                                                          My friend Duke and I teach each other all the time....... he asks me how we say some things and then he in turn teaches me some things........ I can read SOME spanish and SOME french........ but not near enough to ever try and speak it out loud, people would think I had lost my mind.

                                                                                                                                          I did however take some French in school and can read more of that than anything, but I'll be dammed if I could ever actually speak French....... I am 36 years old so when I was in school it wasn't as readily taught or insisted upon like it is now...... there are days though I honestly wish I had taken the time, especially in my job now when I have to deal with so many that do NOT speak my language.

                                                                                                                                                      Vous etes trop gentil, merci pour les compliments je n'écris pas tres bien le francais....c'est la premiere langue que j'ais apris parler, je l'ai entendu toute ma vie, je peut le lire et comprendre tout, mais malheuresement je l'écris jamais alors je n'ai pas tres bonne ortographie, probablement beaucoup des fautes et une manque enorme de vocabulaire...c'est domage que je ne fasse pas l'effort de l'utiliser plus souvent.

                                                                                                                                                          I've been using their translater at one of our sites for some time now. The reports we had were: "it worked a little bit, enough that you can try to derive a little understanding but lots of errors - often making the page sound downright silly".

                                                                                                                                                          ...so I figured it wasn't going to be too accurate. Oh well. As long as it's silly or unreadable and doesn't start any fights out there .

                                                                                                                                                              i think the nowadays lingual education in the netherlands is pretty good... (not as good as in sweden though...)

I have a 17 year old that HAD to take Spanish, while she is in this mindset that if they come here then they have to learn her language.. like so many where I live. I tried to explain to her that if she gets a job like I have where she HAS to interact with people all over the world, she may wish she'd have studied it a little harder........ but nope, I am just the insane mom wanting her to be all she can be. LOL

                                                                                                                                                                  I live in a very small community where 1/2 the people have never even been out of the state we live in and would totally freak if they ever heard a foreign language....... so by default that kinda gets passed down, whether I like it or not. The teachers here teach it but not the importance of it, so the kids do not get the importance of learning a foreign language, therefore they don't try as hard, and it's them that is hurt later.
