After the Pornhub scandel, major credit card companies suspended transactions on MindGeek websites (Pornhub and their add network TrafficJunky), but their paysites such as Brazzers, RK were spared.
In what appears to be an attempt to cover up their bad reputation, They "sold" MindGeek to Ethical Capital Partners, a company with some fake cartoonish looking people behind it based on their "About Us" page, their porn videos plot look more real. ECP had no prior track record, no information, no website before the sale announcement , essentially no online existence at all. It appears they are just hired actors pretending to be a completely separate entity that bought MindGeek. (no sign that any money moved at all for purchase of the Mindgeek)
However, I believe Bernd Bergmair still owns the majority of MindGeek and this sale to ECP is just a charade.
To recover from the blow dealt by Visa and Mastercard, MindGeek changed their name to "Aylo", an attempt to distance themselves from the bad publicity and convince the credit card companies to work with them again.
So now it's called Aylo. For example, their valuable porn video assets, formerly owned by the MindGeek subsidiary MG Premium Ltd, are now owned by Aylo Premium Ltd.
They use a complex network of companies where Company A is a subsidiary of Company B, which is a subsidiary of Company C, which is a subsidiary of Company D, and so on. Or they use completely separate companies. However, everything is still controlled from their office in montreal.
Right now they are in serious trouble, getting fucked left and right by girls of GDP and people whose videos were uploaded to Pornhub, and even States of texas is suing them for failure to do age verificationComment
