I'm 46 and the adult industry has allowed me to follow my heart and have the most amazing and serendipitous life imaginable... the ups, the downs, being a hipster artist, the adult business has given me the freedom to experience living like a hipster and just going with it, ya know? You can live it all up with a good income promoting things that push the limits of free speech, all while knowing you're contributing to the freedom of adults in, what is supposed to be, the freest country on Earth... The good ol' USA.

All politics aside, I feel like posting nude adult people doing sexy things in cyberspace is my contribution to humanity.

Nobody should feel ashamed for having sexy thoughts about doing things with fellow adults. We're all animals here, we need our hedonism now and then!

Running adult websites enabled me to do the marriage kids family thing early on at 19yo because many/any girls like stupid ugly teenage millionaires. Aside from that funded my many track events and autocrosses cars/tires/builds for my old auto racing hobby. I did. weird confluence of events. had a 'side' adult biz that was growing way too large for me and stressing me out which impacted me mentally and thus physically cuz 24/7 pressure. so I sold it

at the same time, schools in my neighbourhood were closed due to covid so I spent time playing and reading and doing math puzzles with kids down at the local fisher beach

the owner of the (very small but lucrative) fishing biz there died due to covid and his wife wanted to sell. I used the cash from the so-called side biz that was taking over my life to purchase it. and became the vegan owner of a fishing biz

I kept my own online adult stuff, that is mine

offline wasn't bringing in much cuz no tourists but locals could feed their fams and sell in their communities. but I had my own stuff in adult to cover the deficit in my investment

I took a gamble that tourism would come back, created a new biz plan focused on sustainability, bought some new equipment for the guys and when the restrictions on travel were lifted we hit the ground running

the higher end hotels love us, their guests so pleased not feeling guilty eating fish even though we charge more. as someone who has studied tourists in various nations I know how to work it. and I'm 'sooo articulate' when dealing with the contract discussions

always keep a small portion of quota for the dudes who do the work to eat/sell

instead of dealing with performers* and fighting rare cb's which were often quite large as my site had large payments as the norm and the clients usually paid me back as their bank did reversals on the 5th or 7th of a 1-2k payment without their consent or knowledge

didn't happen often, but it happened. totally legit payments, clients anxious to fix it. cammers stressed. what fun!
