    New age verification laws popping up in various states

    So how are mid sized to small adult content website owners approaching this? Just waiting and seeing what happens? Anyone pulling the trigger and blocking states or employing intrusive age verification techniques?

    Personally I think smaller sites are not in the cross hairs, the only sites being sued (so far) are the big top 100 traffic sites in the world.

    Curious as to what the industry makes of this from the smaller independent webmaster/small company perspective.

      If they offered some easy solution for site operators to implement compliant age verification on their site, I wouldn’t mind.

      However, operators are expected to implement their own solutions, which is ridiculous considering the challenges this poses.

          For peace of mind just stop serving traffic to TX (and the other states that have similar laws).

          Agreed. This is preposterous because we have no way to know if the solutions we may implement will be satisfactory. Private data processing will be an issue too. It would be best if these checks were made at the device level.

          Besides it may have an impact on SEO.

              What a complete mess the red states have made of things. Completely foolish that we should have to be dealing with this in this day and age. What do you want to bet they are the top viewers of porn nationwide too?
