It's not a bad setup. But it's just that Resorts World is horrible and are treating AVN disrespectfully in my opinion.
This show deserves a much better venue. I still can't figure out why they ever chose Resorts World in the first place.-Robbie

In my very first trip to Vegas I stayed at the El Cortez and spent New Years Eve on Fremont Street.
And I loved it.
I don't know about the "ballers" in the business with their secret private dinners but for the porn people per se, this would definitely be the better place

The porn stars mostly live here in Vegas already and go to Fremont partying anyway. We are always partying up and down Fremont.
AVN is missing out on so much foot traffic there on Fremont it's just crazy.
Plus...The Circa requires ID and you have to be 21 years old to even get into the resort. No kids or families.-Robbie

hopefully inside it's awesome, no doubt it is. and I'm sure these events are quite difficult to put together so not criticizing (honestly). it's just the pics in the link were funny
what a way to present an industry event. ultimately though, it's what's inside that matters

There is no "tent" at Circus Circus lol
It's Circus themed and the building LOOKS like an enormous circus tent. But it's a real building.
What they did at Resorts World is stick the AVN show in an actual giant industrial tent. Ugh.
And I haven't seen any kind of signage on the exterior of Resorts World telling people that AVN is there, and nothing on local television.
Matter of fact the local stations are talking about the huge "World Of Concrete" convention going on at the Convention Center.
Nothing about AVN at all.

I suggest we reserve an extra piece of land so people can bring their own tent!
Than we create a camping so everyone has a cheap place to stay without resort fees.
I made my appointments and it is still very interesting and great to see people in person.
I am happy i went to ASW and Internext, many people here.
And i agree, it should be at Fremont street, else next year it really will be held on a camping.

We were over at The 4 Queens Resort on Fremont last evening from 7:30 to 9 p.m. before going over to Resorts World for a couple of drinks, and ran into dozens of people coming up to Claudia Marie and telling us that they were in town attending AVN but were staying on Fremont Street.
Resorts World is supposedly going bankrupt from reports over the last few months locally on the news. And I'm not surprised.
There's NOTHING to do there. The atmosphere and "vibe" is cold. No character or personality to the place.
And EVERYTHING is so goddamned overpriced that it's ridiculous.-Robbie

a burning man style convention sounds fun. burning man has cabins for high rollers but most people pitch tents in the sand. can't do it in January tho.
then again these fucking shows are just for the vendors and dbags preying on nubes. (other than dating and cams). that stupid fucking banner insulting everybody at the top of the forum is a case in point.

I guess it is technically an industrial tent, but Resorts World has lots of events there, including non-adult ones.
I liked the high ceilings in the space and had a great show.
Folks I know have told me they got kicked out of Circa for basically being too tattooed and sexy, so don't think that would be a fit, although it seems like it should be with the 21+.Comment

although it was a tent - it wasn't any different from a regular building. I have been in a few conventions there that were in the tent (the Rock N Roll Marathon for one) as well.
I was surprised at just how small the event was this year comparatively to both previous years AND the Venus Awards in Berlin last October. Chaturbate not being there was strange as they would have been a HUGE booth.
Only Fans (although I bet soon OF management companies will start to have booths haha), Xhamster, Kink, Bangbros, Reality Kings, Xvideos, PornPros, Adulttime - none of them had booths which would have helped the show as well. There was a lack of BDSM and fetish booths as well.
But Naughty America returned to having a booth for the first time in many years. Hook up Hotshot had a cool booth, and both Loyalfans and JustforFans had competing booths.
Putting the Brazzers booth in the dead center was a smart move as the lines for Angela White, Cherie Deville, Abella Danger, Nicolette Shea, and the rest of the their stars stretched for long distances.
Resorts World isnt a terrible casino as its big with lots of places to drink and sit and chat and eat. But the bouncers stopping girls and telling them to put clothes on over and over and over and over again all day every day was sort of annoying. lolComment

You've been talking about having Internext on Fremont for 10+ years at this point, I used to think it was a silly suggestion.
Now I finally agree. With the last strip casinos pushing AVN out (Hard Rock / Virgin, now Resorts World), the rising prices, the overall whitewashing/commercialization/genericifcation/whatever of Vegas strip casinos... I think Internext on Fremont would be a blast

That is disappointing. I was with the circus for 5 years and this is a cheap tent show. The “country buffet tent” started becoming more common and it wasn’t worth being on tour anymore because the cheap tent set up is hard to cope with as a performer. These tents look appropriate for a big BBQ or a pie-eating contest. Avian should probably consider Rocky Point, MX, Palm Springs, or Reno if this is the budget.

I haven't been to Vegas in 12 years, last ones where Venetian and Playboy/Palms.
It looks a little different now. But it doesn't seem to bother the visitors and companies.
With the Award Show there where big lines of people waiting to get in.
Looks like AVN and Internext is best held like now, in 1 building, less webmasters nowadays and the companies we promote are on the showfloor and hotelbar.
Also was easy that the party's where in the same building.
And people could go outside easily for a smoke out of the chaos of the showfloor.
The biggest problems where the toilets! There where no toilets.
You had to go outside, past the entrance for the first toilet.
And than go back through security and entrance through the crowds.
Or do it the Dutch way and piss against the wall somewhere.
AVN will evaluate and look for all options. I heard Circa would be too small to host an Award.
If it takes another 12 years before i return we might be back at the Venetian.
Could be even an AIVN Show without real models

I missed a lot of people i see now on the pictures.
Cause i didn't knew they where there, or they didn't stop at the Internext seats / hotel bar.
And some i didn't recognize immediately after all those years.

Sic transit gloria mundi... I went to every AVN show and awards from 2000 to 2006, and only stopped because the shows were getting kinda shitty. Been a few times since 2012, and the quality of the shows has been erratic.
