How to collect emails these days?

    Tech How to collect emails these days?

    Hi:

    I've wanted to put a newsletter form on one of my blogs. No popups (I know conversion with newsletter in the sidebar will suck).

    Considering we can't use the majority of service because of the nature of our site, how do you do it? (on WordPress).

    I was using Sendy.co a long time ago, but it seems too complicated. Maybe some simple plugin for storing emails in WP database with an option to export those emails?

      What did you find complicated about Sendy? I use it for quite a few projects and it does most of what I need, quite simply.

      There's also a WordPress plug-in that will allow you to create different opt-in types and sync with Sendy, called Hustle: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-popup/

          Well, I was experimenting with it a long time ago. The thing was that the number of people leaving emails was very low, but drastically increased when you set a popup with an offer. Around that time, Google announced popups were not welcome so I had to choose, SEO traffic or potential monetization with emails.

          Except that, the deliverability rate through Amazon SES was terrible. I did what I could by adding all those stuff like DKIM records, but still, most of the emails ended in spam I guess.

          The ALternative was Ynot mail but I hate all those small charges per month for stuff I am barely using.

          How did you solve the deliverability of emails?

              It is indeed a battle that everyone deals with. What's worked for me is:
              1. Consistency, send regularly and more people will find and "not spam," which seems to help overall
              2. Request engagement, get your members to respond back to the email
              3. Inform your members that they need to white list your emails immediately after signing up. Use some kind of an approval page and maybe a "free gift" for doing so

                  Can't remember about the rate,it was long time ago. I remember that it was below what I was expecting.
                  Well, all these if implemented, will take time. I can't afforid it because It should be je something as a bonus, without efforts.
                  Were you using some other domain or the one with adult word in it?

                          OP, do you use your adult mailing list to 'get your traffic to come back' or are you using it for actual sales conversions?

                              Respond to one of those very legitimate spam emails from data companies, lol

                              Seriously though, it's taken years for us to build up our database. That's a very long term project, but in the end it's like gold. Email works great!

                                  I am not using it. I've quit whole idea long time ago, concentrtating on other things. Was now thinking just to start collecting emails if there is an easy way and just periodically send an offer with discount for people interested in cam sex.
