Where to point older 'aged' domains?

    Business Where to point older 'aged' domains?

    I have a selection of approx 10 aged domains that I have owned for about 20 years. They have been pointing to Hosted Tube since it started.

    Now I know a lot of you didn't have a great deal of luck with hosted tube (as i used to get told whenever I recommended them) however, I did. Unfortunately though, hosted tube is shitting up shop in January 2024, so I'm looking for somewhere new to point them instead...

    Here's the thing though - Like Hosted Tube, I want a 'Set it and forget it' solution

    I'm not unrealistic in my expectations either. As long as the domain name earns its renewal fee over the course of the year, then I'm happy - If it earns anything whatsoever over its renewal fee, I'm even happier! - It really doesn't take much to make me happy...

    In other words, I'm not expecting to set up something, sit back and count hundreds of dollars a week for doing fuck all - I'm not that green!

    So, thinking of how hosted tube worked, is there a 'new kid on the block' so to speak?

    It goes without saying, that should I choose the solution you propose with an aff link, I'll use your link, and keep them there for at least until they dont earn their renewal fees anymore...

    I dont wish to discuss the names, nor sell them - Just point them somewhere new like I did quite happily for many years with hosted tube...

      There's a gap in the market for a decent hostedtube replacement or adult-based domain parking service.

      Sadly any such service will likely get abused and any traffic sold through it will quickly become diluted with fraud and bot garbage

          I might try forwarding it to one of the VOD companies, directly to a free membership sign-up of a related niche. I think AEBN used to do this, but not sure if it's still an option.

              I sent hosted tube 2mil uniques once and made $80. Hope you did better than that.

                  I wouldn't trust AEBN. You dont normally hear me talking bad of anyone, but I'm sure they got me good, although I cant prove it.

                  I had one of there custom thearters setup and linked from one of my 'reasonably successful' Hosted Tubes - Forgot all about if for a few years, then when I remembered, I couldn't log in to my stats. According to AEBN, as I hadn't sent a SINGLE CLICK to them, they had closed my account down. But still left the theater up and running for about 3 years!

                  Yeah, OK, 'My Bad' - I should have checked sooner, but I forgot all about it. Had the theater been taken down, fair enough. But it even remained active for a year after I removed the link - So I'm assuming there were bookmarkers.

                  For all I know its still active today - Gonna use wayback to find the link - BRB - No, its gone now (Redirects straight to the main page of aebn) but it was still active for while.

                  They had a good email for me - No reason to just 'Shut me out' of my stats, so I'm completely unable to tell if I have visitors or not... & the site it was linked on was generating $200 / $250 a month, just from ad views and ad clicks - So it must have had 'some traffic'...

                      Well its all relative, but during the lockdown years, I was averaging 4 to 5 hundred a month, and that was for doing nothing whatsoever! I set up the sites, and walked away - No promotion, no backlinks, no nothing... So I wasn't complaining...

                      Like I said though, I dont expect that to happen again - Just enough to cover the cost of renewal is fine by me... That way at least they are doing something as opposed to just 'sitting there' gathering dust.

                          That's weird that you did that well. When I was trying it, it sucked with SEO, they shut it down and reopened it 2-3 times, and everyone was complaining because they were doing pennies CPM.. Glad it worked for you, though.
