can´t wait for Christmas dinner! Most years the same...

Turkey, stuffing, roast potatoes, savoy cabbage, brussels, parsnips, pigs in blanket, yorkshire & gravy, finished off with Christmas pudding & cream, then a baileys, triple sec or Tequila!

Just the usual southerner-style with smoked turkey, cornbread dressing, cranberries, deviled eggs, turnip greens, sweet potatoes cooked in brown sugar/cinnamon with marshmallows melted on top... if you grew up in the south then you know...

I still get my turkeys from my home town, same place we got them when I was child in the 1900's.

I call it "ThanksTaking Week". I already started feeding from the trough. Gotta have garlic mashed potatoes, lots of gravy, warm pumpkin pie with vanilla ice cream, white meat has to be juicy, green bean casserole with crispy onions on top, and cranberry sauce.

My wife's family is Italian. My first Thanksgiving with them she told me they don't have turkey. They have lasagna.

Cornbread, chunky mashed potatoes, pureed sweet potatoes, and a good apple pie. Not a fan of turkey, I prefer chicken or a nice roasted pork leg.

I had 3 Thanksgiving feasts this week. One last night and two today. By far the best one was prepared by Top Chef contestant Luke Koplin. He really knows how to include mushrooms into Thanksgiving. Wow just wow! Never thought turkey gravy sprouts pie stuffing etc could be done in such a way that it would make you forget about all the other Thanksgivings. If you ever get a chance to try his food I suggest you do it.
