For me, the sauce is boss. The spicier and bolder, the better. The pizza I miss the most was No Name Pizza in Silicon Valley. I think it was either in San Jose or nearby. Dad would bring it home from work it was awesome and addictive.
As a chain, Round Table Pizza was really good, but they've toned down the heat since the 90's and the original franchises had the best ovens.
In porn valley, Vincento's is a good one and Uncle Ernie's on Topanga and Lassen not only does a great pizza, but their wings are big and hot.
By the way, come to find out, making home made pizza dough is pretty easy. Really only flour, water, yeast and a little sugar/honey. As things cool off in the valley I may do some of my own pizza again.Publicist and owner of HighOctaneHeart.com, FetishArtist.net and FetishForLife.comComment

Pizza, and food in general in Canada, has gone downhill- big time!
2015:
$7 gourmet Naples-style at Nicli Antica in Vancouver
$3 sleeves of Peroni
Unlimited infused oil dips
Super stylish restaurant
Tons of hipsters to chat with at the bar
2023:
$15 pizzas (not as good or as big)
$7.5 for a bottle of Peroni
No infused oil dips
Boring ass location
Zero hipsters, just shitbag boomers talking about their mortgage interest rates and other retarded boomer-tier shit
Location is now lame as fuck, not bohemian at all, and not a stylish place:
ANTICO PIZZA NAPOLETANA - Antico Pizza Napoletana
All of the best hipster food joints are gone, replaced with chains and double-the-price-for-half-the-experience.
Fuck I hate Canada, this place has gone to shit completely.

There are lot's of great local, non franchise, places around where I live. Many of them have been open for 25+ years and that says something.
As far as franchise goes, we have a Dominos nearby and they are OK in a pinch.Comment

The best pizza joints are usually the small, local ones... there are many in Montreal which are amazing. For chains, I really like Boston Pizza, and Dominos and Donnini's are also pretty good.
I've started making Pizza at home and may invest in a good pizza oven next spring. It's great - just throw on all your favourite toppings, experiment, and make your own recipes. Chances are it'll always be delicious.
I hate buying the raw dough and fucking around with it - its too hard to do and never works for me. I prefer the frozen pre-made dough.
I bought a Pizza stone to make Pizza in a BBQ. It didn't work. It takes forever to cook. A regular kitchen oven works much better.Comment

This is true. I have to go to Tracy, California, and found a local pizza place there called Hella Pizza that I really like. The best pizza joints are usually the small, local ones... there are many in Montreal which are amazing. Now that I've lived the dream and fucked 100's of women, driven all of the fast cars, been the center of the social circle and I've finally settled down... I dream of owning a property with a wood-fired outdoor pizza oven.
Nothing beats a homemade pizza that you put like 2+ hours of effort into. Holy fucking shit, you can make the most AMAZING food at home if you put your effort into it. Hard to believe it took until I was 45 to actually want to settle down somewhere!
Of all of the chains, I have to say that Papa John's in Canada did do some amazing deals. For like $22 I got like 2 large pizzas a couple years ago that had a TON of cheese and pepperoni on them. Quality shit, was impressed for a chain!https://3-veo.com/

Mikes is good yes! I haven't been there in a long time.
They have been around forever. First time I went to one was around 1984.Comment

Idiot. What you define as a pizza I define as a salty pancake, the more toppings the better for you I assume
Anyone who has tried pizza in Naples & Siciliy can confirm my words.
