lol I am getting the same thing. But it seems like its on every site. Someone definitely got me with something. I get camgirls ads, I think some of them have even been those stupid mortgage debts ones. I ran adware but it didn't find anything.

Someone stickify the links to Spybot or AdAware...

            These questions get asked everyday.

If the ads are somewhat targeted; it might be TPS108
In windows, search for and destroy: tps108.dll

You probably got the cockdot pop, heh sounds funny but it's a fucking bitch. I had it on my comp for three weeks, finally I got rid of it. It gets set off by any site with a sextracker counter on it. Try renaming your c:\windows\hosts file to something else then reboot.

If renaming it didn't work, if you're using IE, uninstall it in Add/Remove Programs and when the prompt comes up, click repair. You need to clear your cache too.

Its popping Gamma's xxxtoolbar. Why not ask them who's popping the ad?

Interesting the ip block 66.250.131.* is owned by cogent, but a lot of the other ips in that block are used by ebanda.

You're not actually uninstalling it. Go to add/remove programs and click on IE, then remove. Once you click remove a prompt will come up asking if you want to repair or uninstall it, check repair. Then clear your cache and that should fix it.

Those popups are not coming from your browser but from
a messanger service that is part of windows xp. read this
article and be free of them!

These are sent using the Messenger service integrated into Windows 2000 and XP (try the 'net send' command to see for yourself).
To disable the Messenger service, go to Start --> All Programs --> Administrative Tools --> Component Services. In Component Services, click on Services (Local), then on the right side, find Messenger and disable it.
Note: not everyone will have Administrative Tools in the Start menu. You need to make it visible under Taskbar and Start Menu Properties (right-click on taskbar --> Properties). The surest way to get to Component Services is to enter %systemroot%\system32\com\comexp.msc into the command line.

I have installed ad-gone pop-up killer already but that's not what I needed.. see thehun isn't popping consoles itself so the prob is somewhere else.. not just simple pop killing.

Not just AdAware and SpyCop but XBlock will clean up a lot of that stuff when it cleans up your History, Cache, deleted files, etc. I run it daily and have Pop-Up Stopper (free edition) running just about all the time. The main problem with pop-up stoppers is that they frequently stop target="new window" pages you actually want to see. Pop-Up stopper allows you to momentarily disable it by holding down Shift of Ctrl while opening up the offending page or console.

That's cos you have sextracker counter on your site too which triggers thi hijack script. Couple my friends got the same prob now too. I'm assuming this parasite is still too new is why I can't find its remedy yet But I'm sure someone will find one soon.. I'll let you know. I sent GammaCash an email to ask for the webmaster email who's installing this parasite but haven't heard anything from them so far.. but ofcourse

What I did was follow some advice at this forum http://forums.techguy.org/forumdisplay.php?forumid=54 (I know thats not cool but its not competition & may help)

They advised to get a copy of hijackthis at this site: http://www.tomcoyote.org/hjt/ and examine all files that shouldnt be there, including all references to the popup, the sites from the safe list & a .css file.

                                                                                      Hope that helps
