260k is an awful lot of money for a free site. I can't help wondering what the source for this info is... 260k seems to be a bit of an overestimate, that's like quater of a million dollars, for a free site?

no you read wrong.. He had death threats FROM a actual family member. Either this family member threated him, or threatend himself..

Regardless, he has family issues, and is gettting out.. He already gave control to his site to a "friend" till the sale.

or create any content related pages on our own server. Unfortunately some people don't
quite understand how the web functions or that even search engines contain more
pornographic content than we ever could on one page, including many degrading
and illegal images. I even surfed my site for several hours with a police constable today
who found all of the accusations unfounded and we've always done our best to prevent those
not wishing to view such material off our site to the extent that we turn away potential income.

As you all know, family always comes first with me and always will.
This domain name is now for sale and we will ensure that the purchaser

no but seriously, I understand... if my brother would start bitching at me for what I do and ask what I'd choose, I'd choose family as well...

I respect anyones decision and I do not know him, nor have I walked in his shoes.

That being said, it seems a little odd how some people react to porn. I haven't told everyone what I do, but thos I have are mostly supportive. The others are mostly judgemental.

I can understand if one thinks that porn promotes violence towards women or something like that, but the vast majority of people against it - are not against it for that reason.

Having a porn site is not illegal. Death threats are in some cases. It is a shame it came to that. I hope I never have to make such a decision.

If people were more open minded and there was not so much hypocracy in the world - things would be much better.

If he can get that much for the site - more power to him, it could actually turn out to be a good thing. I would gladly leave porn for that much...
