BMW has never been owned by other people ... The company you refer to is BLMC (British Leyland Motor Comany) which was the company to save british car industry in the 70´s and early 80´s. They produced cars as Austin, Morris, Leyland (Later Austin) and Rover ..

Unfortunally the cars was exeptionel poor because there allways where huge problems on the factories - such as strikes sabotage etc. so it became one of the biggest fiaskos and scandals ind the history of the car .. (maybe even bigger than both John D. Deloren and the bankerupsy of Chrysler)

In the early 90´s BMW bought most of the british luxery car producers such as Rolls Royce (later sold to VW) and Bentley while Ford bought Jaguar and Aston Martin ....

It's your previledge to buy Amarican cars but there is a reason why people buy the German ones. By such move more people in the US will be getting unemployed than in Germany. American cars however need more fuel. Remember that the US has only 14 years in oil reserves left on own soil.

The company you refer to is BLMC (British Leyland Motor Comany) which was the company to save british car industry in the 70´s and early 80´s. They produced cars as Austin, Morris, Leyland (Later Austin) and Rover .. Unfortunally the cars was exeptionel poor because there allways where huge problems on the factories - such as strikes sabotage etc. so it became one of the biggest fiaskos and scandals ind the history of the car .. (maybe even bigger than both John D. Deloren and the bankerupsy of Chrysler) In the early 90´s BMW bought most of the british luxery car producers such as Rolls Royce (later sold to VW) and Bentley while Ford bought Jaguar and Aston Martin ....
