I just wanted to share my experience with fris and give a warning to others. Unfortunately it's not a good one.
I saw a post in the Buy & Sell section a few months ago about gallery listings and reached out to him. I recognized the name but hadn't dealt with him in the past. We chatted back and forth on pricing and such but on May 10th we sent payment for 30 listings via Paypal in addition to a text file with the galleries to be listed.
He did request the payment as a “friends and family” so he would get the full amount agreed upon and didn't think anything of it. Now I come to realize that it may have been requested as you can't dispute those payments.
Late May 10th he asked for the txt file (which had already been sent) but forwarded it again on May 11th. He acknowledged receipt and responded “I’ll add them to queue.”
There was no discussion for a few weeks but when I was reviewing stats, I noticed there was no traffic from his domain and couldn't locate anything on the site in question. I reached out to him on May 24th and he responded “i toally forgot about you, ill be adding them into the system today.” He also offered to list an additional 4 galleries by way of apology.
June 5th still no traffic or listings so I sent another email. No response.
June 9th I emailed him again and pm'd him here on GFY asking for the listings to go live or refund the original transaction. His response was “Posts should have been added I’ll talk to our submitter I’ll add them Myself.”
As of today still no traffic or listings although I see he has been quite active here on GFY. I searched through the GFY archives and it seems he has had some issues in the past so guess it's on me for not doing my due diligence.
