PAXUM: Your account is becoming dormant

I'm not really gonna complain, cause its so petty, but as one of my main sponsors no longer pays me with paxum, I've had no transactions for 6 months.

I have exactly 37 cents in it !

I dont wanna close the account as I may need it in the future, but I dont really want to pay $5.00 either (on principle to be fair)

It says I need to perform a transaction - any transaction - To keep the account...

So anyone got a paxum addy that I can send 1 cent to? Bit of a fuck around I know, but I dont know of anyone with a paxum addy...

Dunno - I've always thought that sending money paxum to paxum, in a non commercial / non business manner was free? I'll check...

EDIT: I've Checked - Not Free, but 0.25cents

By P2P Transfer to other User $0.25

So still sending a single cent will keep my account open and available for another 6 months...

And incase anyone thinks I'm being petty, sending 1 cent today will keep my account active for the next 6 months - If, after 6 months, I have not received another paxum payment, I shall simply close it.

I'm not complaining about it - Just hedging my bets, should I need it again in the future.

No one can deny it is not good business to send 1 cent, and pay a 25 cent fee, = $0.26c than it is to spend 6 months @$5.00 = $30.00 just to see if I have any real need to keep the account open?

The $5 USD dormant fee is only charged once per month if you still have the funds in your account. If your balance is zero then no fees will be charged. Dormant account status can be changed to active status in the future when you're ready to use the account again.

That's reasonable. So how to get my account to zero then? I dont wanna incur costs that may be charged at a later date? Like I say I have 0.37 cents in there atm. Or do you take the 37cents towards the 5 and from then on nothing, or do I owe you the remaining $4.63 each month? Please advise

The 37c would be taken as the dormant fee. That would be that. You would have no further dormant account fees after your balance reaches $0.

I do but I can't accept any money ATM as I CBA to do the KYC to unfreezificate it. I probably should because I've got money waiting to come in from a sponsor, except I've got to do their KYC too, which I CBA to do. But I really should. But I CBA.

To be fair, Ive been very happy with Paxum - During covid I was regularly getting 300/ 400 a month paid into my paxum - I never had any trouble getting it out whatsoever.

But as you know, times change, and I'm not get very much at all in payments atm - but that doesnt mean I wont in the future... That's why I wanna hang to the account
