    Fanfix sold for $65 million

Entrepreneur, 22, who founded a subscription startup to rival OnlyFans from his kitchen table hopes to 'eclipse' adults-only site after selling his company for $65 MILLION

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/a...ults-site.html

An entrepreneur who started a company from his kitchen table has sold it for a staggering $65 million.

Harry Gestetner co-founded the subscription-based startup Fanfix, based in Los Angeles, in 2020 as a rival to OnlyFans - but without the nudity.

It offers a space for social media stars and influencers who do not wish to be associated with explicit content to monetize 'clean, exclusive, behind-the-scenes' clips.

This is cool. Does anyone know what kind of site it was or the price it was sold for?

Wow, that's nuts for a platform that wasn't even on most people's radars (at least in our industry). Congrats to the founders!

Gestetner grew up in London and has a background of wealth and innovation.
His great-great-grandfather, David Gestetner — whom he counts as an inspiration — invented an early photocopying machine in 1879. Ricoh bought the business in 1996 for $226 million, The Guardian reported. The publication also reported that Harry's father, Daniel, was one of the UK's richest young entrepreneurs in 2000.
He attended Highgate School, which currently has fees of $29,000 a year, before moving to Los Angeles for high school.

It was there, studying at Harvard-Westlake School — whose alumni include Lily Collins and Jake Gyllenhaal — where he met his cofounder, Simon Pompan.
Working from their dorm rooms, Gestetner and Pompan raised $1.3 million from the venture-capital firms Antler, Rough Draft Ventures, and Day One Ventures, to found Fanfix.

The former Vine star Cameron Dallas also came on board as a cofounder and raised the platform's profile.
So basically this kid came from generational wealth and had education and familial connections far above and beyond what any of us normal people can dream of.

Started on third base and we act like he hit a home run.

Yes it definitely smell like that. But again, tumblr was sold for 1 billion, despite obvious fact how most of it's content is porn which did not have much value.

You have a few onlyfans models claiming they make over a million.

So if this site has a few people making a million, suddenly $65 million may be a decent price.

Plus non porn so presumably all the payment firms will be ok with it.

Plus if one day payment systems remove payment from onlyfans and other sites, suddenly they could be the main player.

On the flip side, why would you want to pay for non porn content, unless it is training vids or something.
