Yes, that place is always in the news down here, in some form or another. Always selling it, sold it, its fallen through, it has to be demolished, it's got a repreve etc etc...

I watched it on TV today so i was curious is there any update and that was first article about it. Makes me wonder why he was not simply making a building with flats instead mega mansion.
No, cause the wax set of teeth, that I had tried in, and were marked up for 'finalizing' when they stop being made of wax... Had not been sent off to the lab! So what a wasted fucking journey!
Thanks - So do I - Hopefully early next year - I'll update thread with pics when done
wow jokes about dental care in the UK are true. hope you get this resolved soon, it must be a hindrance upon you

Looks barbaric! I'll continue to go to my dentist for regular visits lol
when I got a full set of implants (decades of bulimia and starvation are not good for teeth) they knocked me out and I woke up with my teeth out and two shiny rows of new implants drilled into bone
as soon as I could stand after the drugs wore off I was free to leave. maybe 24 hours, if that
got prescribed pain med but never used it for that. tooth surgery doesn't cause nearly the same pain as problem tooth ache. I did use em' much later when I tore a calf muscle but my mouth was fine from day one of surgery
@CS I can't believe this taking so long. hope to see your pretty new smile soon but you're wonderful either way

Thanks - I would have loved to have them 'done in a day' but it isn't something that is offered where I am...
My dentist is superb. Excellent surgeon, really knows his stuff. Its the staff at the clinic that are letting him down - He cant micromanage everything - If he did, he'd only see one patient a day...
He was very apologetic for the mistake of not having them sent off and ready. But as its not 'His Own Practice' he works with the staff the practice provides him with - And they are NOT up to standard...
You have to sit around without upper teeth over the holidays?
I've been sitting around without upper teeth for over a year now! I had to relearn to talk, and when I did speak, I was spitting everywhere. A lot of shops still had the 'Covid Screens' in place, so whenever I had to talk to someone on a till, I was spraying the glass with spit - It was fucking awful.
Although I genuinely couldn't help it, I looked like a right disrespectful cunt who was just taking the piss. As such, I have avoided almost all social situations for the last year...
I had all my top teeth removed in about June 2002 - I was issued with a 'Temporary' NHS (Free) upper denture, which I had to use for the following 6 months, before I could begin the implant process...
It was a shit denture, that didn't fit, made my jaw go to the side, and I couldn't taste any food, as it covered the entire top of my mouth. Yes, you have taste buds on your tongue, but also on the roof of your mouth, and they work in conjunction with each other...
On top of that, the only way it would stay in was with a stupid amount of fixative 'glue' which would just 'give up' at random moments, meaning my teeth literally fell out of my mouth.
After the 6 months was up, In January 2023, I began the implant process. It was supposed to take a total of 4 months. I stopped wearing the poorly fitting denture as it was misaligning my jaw...
Because of the practise staff inability to make proper appointments for me, and do basic stuff 'Behind The Scenes' ie remembering to send off the wax teeth for finishing etc, it has stretched on now for over a year... NOT my dentists fault - He is great. Its the staff at the clinic that are to blame. Delay after delay... Totally unacceptable, but nearly finished now... Its been quite an adventure...

Wow, modern medicine is amazing. So they put you out and pulled out all your teeth and drilled the implants in one shot? Was it painful after? or did they have you on high doses of oxys?

never taken oxy in my life. I'm not American
got some pills I think were codeine (it was a long time ago) and didn't use them til much later when I ripped a muscle.
mouth was kinda sore for a couple of days but no real pain. and not into pills for the sake of taking them (except advil, I pop that like candy when needed)
bad teeth are a real stigma. maybe I was just happy to have my smile back but honestly it didn't hurt that much at all. more like a bruise feeling, no sharp acute pain

pisses me off that your dental coverage treats you this way. I'm really sorry, sincerely
rock what ya got (or don't have). ugh, what a shitty situation but writing that is just gonna get you all excited
your teeth do not define you. shoulders back, head up, stand tall. happy holidays and live it up

I had a collapsed lung when I was a teen and had to take Codine. It was … interesting!

That has to suck..Sorry..Hope they get it together!
Best wishes on your surgery and recovery. I had liposuction one time to get rid of my belly fat because I'm extremely vain person. I woke up after surgery and I realized somebody had put my clothes on for me. I felt violated.
