    Reddit users have been paying for nude images of a fake, AI-generated woman, according to reports.

    Photos of the ultra-realistic Claudia character, which was created using the artificial intelligence tool Stable Diffusion, began appearing across different Reddit forums a few months ago.

    One image attracted hundreds of comments, with one user writing “you’re looking very pretty”, and another adding “holy crap you are beautiful”.

    Some users appeared to spot the AI trickery, claiming that it looked too processed to be real.

    “For those who aren’t aware, I’m going to kill your fantasy,” one user wrote. “This is literally an AI creation, if you’ve ever worked with AI image models and making your own long enough, you can 10000% tell. Sorry to ruin the surprise I guess.”

      just an idea: if you know anyone complaining because of some revenge porn crap or picture put online without autorization.
      You could tell: it is an AI fake

                              If this is what human 'journalism' is these days, hard hitting revelations of kids making pocket money on reddit, bring on the AI Woodward and Bernsteins.

                              It's literally laugh out loud funny. And if it's "around $100" it's definitely no more than $86.50.

                              As I've said before, the money isn't in AI porn, it's in porn AIs. Ridiculous money, apparently.

                              Pornpen shows an endless stream of AI porn for free, because AI porn is worthless. Anyone can do it, and everyone is doing it, cosplaying as porn producers, flooding the internet with millions of AI generated images nobody is asking for or cares about.

                              Meanwhile Pornpen is also quietly pulling in $190,000+ per month from their porn AI/s enabling people to create their own personalized material.

                              It's better to miss a boat than catch the wrong one.

                                          Yes, you are right. But in this case, I think the importance is that they were passing off the photos as real, otherwise they would never have made that money, paltry though it is. They were also called out quite quickly by other Redditors as passing off fake AI images as real. So it's a proof of concept thing. Yes, you're probably right about AI porn sold as AI porn being close to worthless, but it's the scams that are already starting (and making a little money), when it's still possible to distinguish real and AI. In a couple of years or before, sites like OnlyFans are going to be flooded with AI thbots taking money from unwitting simps.

                                                                      I was looking at Pornpen's stats a week or two ago, which I find more interesting than the site itself, and they had about 13200 subscribers. Just checked now and it's about 12900.

                                                                      I doubt the numbers are exact, and they're not exactly crashing and burning, but they're maybe at their peak now, and they're probably going to take an increasing hit when people get bored after their few months of trying it, especially with possibly better alternatives, such as that.

                                                                      Yeah I think that's how you do it, if you own content. Either:

                                                                      a) Use your content to create more 'end user' material to sell yourself (difficult unless the original material has a fanbase)
                                                                      b) Sell access to AIs trained on specific content or types, for people to create their own material
                                                                      c) License the model itself, so people can run it themselves and create their own content (your idea, if I understand correctly)
