I am not taking sides in this little pissing match, but I just visited your site and there is JS on there and your site does generate errors. I am not impressed with a "tech" who doesn't know what's going on on his own site, not to mention the smarmy attitude when you're in the wrong.

It's right on your front page, man. The text-link menu near the top-left cause Jav.a.S.cript errors when you roll over them. Depending on your browser and settings, you might get a popup warning you about the error or "Error on page" on the bottom-left status area. There are several JS snippets in the source and some built right into "A" tags.

I see someone has taken care of it, now, though. The JS is no longer in the source and the error is gone.

Um, where did you find any jscript? I just did an extensive search on this site and I found not one reference to any kind of jscript outside the customers only areas.

edit: Fuck, the constraints on this board piss me off. No wonder I don't post here more. Lensman, try to be just a little more giving when folks try to help other WM's here.

It wasn't initially my claim. I just surfed over to the site to see who was right about what was going on. The JS was definitely there and the error was deifnitely happening. The problem has since been fixed.

As soon as I saw this thread I surfed the entire site of ProTechHosting. I got ZERO errors and ZERO hahahahahahahahahaha on any page. If, by your example, they magically switched out everthing to not have hahahahahahahahahaha, then they just pulled off the biggest conspirasy (sp?) since the assasination of JFK.

Yawn. Your toes do not frighten me. I'm sure you're (yet another) internet Superman with more juice than a Tropicana factory but I am not impressed. I stand by my buffoon assesment. I especially love your implication that it takes "the biggest conspirasy (sp?) since the assasination of JFK" to remove a little JS from a page.

Here are the facts:
1) When I surfed to the page, I ran my mouse over the links and got errors. I then closed the browser, clicked on the ProTech hosting link a second time and checked the page again. The errors were still there.
2) The source code included not one but several JS functions + some inline code in the links.
3) Before making my post, I closed and reopened my browser and copied the URL from ProTech's signature and visited again with the exact same results.
4) I came back to the thread a while later, saw ProTech's post, visited the site a fourth time and found the errors and JS gone from the page.

Right, you didn't call me any names. 2) I am lying because I have some hidden agenda that includes accusing ProTech of having faulty JS code on his site.
3) There was some buggy code and it has now been removed.

I think anyone with a mental capacity greater than, say, a zucchini will be able to work out which of the above is the most likely.

A little note: By your own words, as soon as you saw this thread, you checked out his site and got no errors. Your first post comes after I say the errors have been fixed. Now, this may seem whacky, but I am going to make an outrageous suggestion. I believe it is possible, just possible, that by the time you went to the page, the errors had been taken care of. Call me crazy, but I think that just might be the case.

Oh, but wait, I am sure you visited the site loooong before your first post, right? Of course you did.
