It can be, but honestly that kind of work is tiring. Always having to warm things up with openers, weed out the ones going in spam/being reported, collecting, dealing with different country laws and soi/doi, etc.
You can't just email thousands of people without collecting emails somehow, though (well.. you can, but don't..), and the way that you collect and what you send out/how you use emails, is what will determine how much you make.

Finding the right connections is harder than doing the emailing, though. I've seen so many scams and people claiming to have clean new lists but are really worthless and old lol.
Also, be careful with your lists and who has access to them. One time, for some reason, someone asked me to clean up his XML file of one of his lists. But, it was seriously I think 300,000 entries with email, name, address, phone number, and a couple other things. And they were recent buyers of penis pills. Some even lived near me.. Short answer is yes.
Sending daily to thousands? That's not how to do it. You need to have an actual list. If you are a cam girl, create an email list and start collecting the list. Send out twice a month at first until you have a list worth sending to... Once you have a list of 5k or 10k, send email once a week or any time you have a serious update.
When you get into the larger email lists.... hundreds of thousands.... Send once and you get countless sign ups.

yea i see a direct relationship between new sales and newsletters sent out thru PornCMS accounts.
unfortunately most site owners are too busy to send out regular newsletters. when i built the newsletter module i thought it would get slammed with usage. there's only about a dozen sites using it, but those sites do see a bump in sales and traffic after a newsletter goes out.
newsletters are an easy way to boost sales for 20 minutes of effort.

From a consumer's point of view I would have to say No.I took the time to setup my email spam filters so I never have to see junk email.

unsolicited spam is not only illegal, its ineffective. opt-in is the key
some adult newsletters i've been receiving and reading 20 years. others go direct to spam. people open what they are interested in. a dude obsessed with feet will open every email that says 'new foot videos'. its not any different in mainstream.
i think we know which programs buy lists and spam.
