    Making 26,000 a Month from YouTube

    I started recording videos for youtube as a hobby while traveling. It turned out to be quite lucrative: Just a couple videos I published generated $26,000 in the last 28 days. Nothing bad.

    This is what I do:



    I am considering dedicating myself full time. I find it more fun than the adult market 😅

                      How did you achieve 169k followers, as I notice you have 120 vids.

                      With the amount of followers you have, I would be putting out a vid each week, if not each day.

                              Yeah but it's not that easy. I run a company and that takes a lot of time and energy..
                              A video a week it's not that easy to do. It takes time to record, edit, add subtitles, create the thumbnail, etc. To me, its just a hobby (for now).

                                              I would actually hire some outsourced help to do the editing, adding captions, etc.

                                              Successful YT channels usually have a number of people (a team) getting the content out. Unless, that is, if you have a format that allows for easy editing (guy in front of camera with a microphone, etc). With your format (excellent video btw) it would definitely take more time but you can streamline that with outsourced help. I would do say three more immediately to test if you can recreate the success of the above video. If so then hire a Team and rock it man!!!

                                                      The news is they will let you make money with shorts (I think it supposed to me now).

                                                      It is worth doing shorts as this should get you a lot of views and bring in new members.

                                                      Plus people zap through them on a mobile, so it is more than worth it.

                                                      What I often wonder is are live streams worth doing, as often to me most people who do them produce dull content and it is often low quality, where recorded and uploaded seems often better.

                                                      My big bug is uploading 4k vids as it seems to takes ages.

                                                      A tip for people, if you can no swearing. They have a new rule where they do not allow swearing in the first few mins, so I expect they may ban swearing fully. So my advice is not to swear to protect yourself in months or years.

                                                                      Perhaps not bother with subtitles, to save you time.

                                                                      It would probably make sense to have someone edit and so on, as if you can do a vid a week, or more, you should make a decent income.

                                                                          A simple way to make a short is do it on your phone app. I use an iphone.

                                                                          Select a film (check to make sure it is in a high quality mode as that was the mistake I made for months). Click on edit or something and it will give you a few options. Click on short.

                                                                          You have two options, it will be set to 15 seconds, but you can click on 60 seconds and you can choose how long up to 60 seconds.

                                                                          Move the slider till you get the bit you want and you can add text and stuff.

                                                                          Then do a title and I add a # too.

                                                                          Upload.

                                                                          The advantage is it should also include a link to your main film.

                                                                          Or you can edit/make a short, such as film something on your mobile.

                                                                          Basically your looking at the footage being camera held normal if you get me.

                                                                          Have an experiment.

                                                                          You may easily get a few thousand views and this may get you more members.

                                                                                                      Bought a camper and yacht and made some professional videos and succeeded.
                                                                                                      If you like more travel around the world, it is good fun business.

                                                                                                      With these numbers and videos, i think i must start filming.

                                                                                                          I have been watching several vloggers over the past year, over TV. I'm pretty sure I have seen that title cross my screen but I don't recognize the YT name.

                                                                                                          Several of the big ones I watch take breaks/quit because it is a lot of work to do it on the road all the time.

                                                                                                                      Well, your best bet would to monitor for trending keywords and adapt your title according to it.
                                                                                                                      I noticed that on some accounts where they upload tons of videos but usually only one or two have huge amount of views.

                                                                                                                          I suspect your putting different type of vids onto a single channel.

                                                                                                                          So put your talking to the camera on one channel and travel vids on another.

                                                                                                                          One problem is your talks seem to be a bit adult related, and in time they may be placed as 18 vids, and that will kill views.

                                                                                                                          My gut feeling is keep one channel pure safe, as in the long run, it will have less problems.

                                                                                                                          If I was you, do 1 channel for one type of content and another for other types.

                                                                                                                          You seem to have 3 or 4 types of content on one channel.

                                                                                                                          You do one where you talk to the camera. If you plan on doing these types of vid you need to do them regular, weekly if not daily. But set a room up to do them, as too much light seems to be flooding the room, sand use a mic closer to you for best sound.

                                                                                                                          Then do thumbnail pics for your vids. And have them have the same style.

                                                                                                                              Before you buy equipment, work out what you plan to shoot, as it is far too easy to buy lots of stuff them find it is no use to what you are shooting.

                                                                                                                                  man thanks for taking the time to break down my yt channel like that. youre right its probably too much of a mix of content. but its so much work to start from scratch im already monetized with the 1000 subs etc. im sure your right about the shadow ban for 18+ bts content. guess its not too late to start another channel, but damm man so much work to run up the numbers again from 0 to 1000. i do need a good mic too yes, and the content is very random. likely i need to have someone organize everything for me but time/money etc. trying the walking videos and motorbike videos again to see how it goes

                                                                                                                                                                          At least you are not dealing with a channel with 1 million subs, but 1.05K subscriber.

                                                                                                                                                                          And nothing is stopping you from downloading those vids, and uploading them to a new channel.

                                                                                                                                                                              If you can get people to post a comment you should find you end up with a lot of views.
