Business who the fuck are DMCA Piracy Prevention Inc. ?

This company is sending numerous DMCA notices for various videos and companies that they do not appear to represent. It is unclear whether any actual copyright holders are utilizing their services, as the company is suspected to be a troll company created solely for the purpose of conducting Black SEO on Google.

Although the company claims to be based in Canada according to their website, their phone is perpetually on voicemail mode and appears to be located in Kansas. Furthermore, they are unresponsive to emails. Is there anyone who knows who is behind this company?

many peeps have had to deal with them. also operate under the name BrandItScan

      threads here and here

spiffy company that charges their clients for nonsense and fucks with legit affs at the same time

I am all for the DMCA, this is just an example of a parasitic company that doesn't care about doing due diligence

apparently the solution is to contact them and get 'whitelisted' (!?!)

in the meantime enjoy your website page(s) being deindexed in search whilst the performers who paid them for services lose out on legit promotion

We are currently gathering evidence against the company that appears to be deliberately harming existing businesses while profiting from their actions and engaging in illegal business practices that violate US law. Our goal is to initiate a class action lawsuit against them and hold them accountable for the pain they have caused to hundreds of businesses and their families. This company's behavior is no different from that of thieves, and we will not let them continue to operate with impunity.

Unfortunately, we are unable to take action on our own due to the exorbitant legal fees involved. However, we believe that by banding together and leveraging the resources of one of the best law firms in the industry, we can put a stop to this and even recoup some of the costs associated with our defense. We are currently seeking support from others who share our concerns and are willing to take action.

We will keep you informed of our progress and encourage you to stay tuned for further updates. If you believe in our cause, we urge you to join us in holding this company accountable for their illegal and harmful actions. Together, we can make a difference and bring justice to those who have been wronged.

They are committing a crime of false statement and perjury among others.

It is quite easy to prove, since to send the reports they have to sign legal documents with google.

The legal costs would all be at their expense if they lost. Which seems quite easy because everything is registered and perfectly documented in the Lumendatabase.

If you have also contacted them several times by sending emails or regular mail to inform them that their activity was illegal and they ignored it. If you have also sent them a good number of counter-notifications, the content has been restored and they have not filed a lawsuit in a California court to knock down the content again within the 10-day period that Google gives once the counter-notification is sent. Well it's done...

The standard US fine for false statement is $2,500 base. So this would be the base price for each falsely sent URL i guess. If the url that they removed generates bigger losses, it could be claimed on that compensation.

I also think that much more could be claimed for damaging reputation. Because as exposed in a leaked PDF from Google a few months ago about good practices and SEO, domains that receive many reports are demoted in search results, and may even be completely deindexed.

Good luck getting that certified as a class action. Unfortunately, that it isnt very likely.

Yeah, it would be nice to get some $$$, but it's not as likely short of having some nice funding since they're most likely just using DMCA Piracy Prevention, Inc. as a front, and BranditScan for day-to-day operations.... but...

                  1) Check the email headers, and more likely than not, it's going to be AWS. But even if not, as long as it's something US or EU, you should be fine.

                  2) Have your counsel send an email to AWS about a form of an Denial of Service attack designed to disrupt the daily operations of your website by sending hundreds (if not thousands) emails to your host and Google, which are forwarded to you, and may in fact disrupt your website's operations, or even bankrupt you.

Also include proof of emails that your hosting company forwarded and your attempts at contacting them.

                  3) AWS will more than likely just can their entire account since what they're doing technically is spamming, and a severe ToS violation.

                  4) Also include the registrar as well if you can.

In your claim you must include both companies and the individual owner in question, as is normally done.

These stupid fucks keep attacking legit affiliates when they use bots to scan Google results and pick up review sites, babes TGP blogs that have been online since the 90's, etc.

You can sue them for any lost revenue and your lawyer and court costs.

Why has no one sued this company?
I'm not talking about piracy sites, but legitimate sites that own the copyright and promotion rights. Why can't you take a winning case?
