The desert is an area of expansion and immigration. Noting like expats. The desert is filled with dirt and endless broken crap, factories, mines, homes, towns etc...

You obviously haven't heard of the ghetto's - their dirt shitholes filled with desperation and broken , abandoned crap. Almost every city in north america has a area that is like that. Homeless people don't live in luxury. I'm not say the desert isn't bad - what I am saying is that it's not the only place that is not a good place to live
