Aptera to launch solar powered car

And you can do pre-order here: https://aptera.us/reserve/

However, question is would such car be able to do anything but to drive slowly in city and only during summer/sun days. Still, it's a start which one day might lead to cars independent on any energy source. Just not today

The solar panels are meant to agument charging. The char is charged via the the grid AND solar panels. The article says it can get up to about 40 miles a day on solar alone. Depending how how far you drive it and where you drive it, you may not ever have to charge your car.

Maybe not Mr. Coffee sized fusion reactors for cars, but we should see fusion energy coming to some electrical gids in the next 10-15 years thanks to the recent breakthrough in Fusion technology. https://www.pbs.org/newshour/science...f-clean-energy

Fisker Karmas had solar roofs and all they did was power the radio.
