Accessing the newsgroups doesn't require a degree in rocket science. In fact, if you let IE or Netscape handle your e-mail, it's really easy. Today, most ISP's provide newsgroup access as part of the $19.95 package, and for $8 a month more, Pictureview.com or Easynews.com make it very easy to find freebie pics.

Believe me, if you were used to freebies, and then they went away, $8 a month would look very affordable.

But, after all, isn't it kind of pathetic to talk about something that isn't going to happen anyway? Don't plan the major TGP's and PicPosts charging. If they did, some of the medium-sized ones would jump in and take up the slack anyway, which is why it won't happen.

NO knock on the big guys you keep mentioning, but why the fuck would I just do what they do? Are they going to come over to my house and beat me up if I don't? No. These are just guys with a LOT of traffic. They are not industry leaders, at least not in my opinion. If paysite sponsor programs huddle together in Veags, get all fucked up and decide that ANY advertising webmaster using hardcore will have his account deleted and forfiet all monies earned up to that point, THEN you'll see a change. But don't hold your breath, because there is more money made every year. And it is super hard to get people to agree.

I noticed several times that he would turn his mainpage into avs, and all the sub-pages were left intact (for bookmarkers).
It probably does pay, just don't keep it too long.

Well, I'm not a TGP owner, well not a big one anyway...I see about 1-2K hits a day,
primarily from surfers looking for other galleries and what they find are my galleries
listed on 4 or 5 of my domains etc. Nice way to build link popularity.

But, I digress..

I do a fair amount of gallery posting, and would gladly change them over to softcore to make the greedy little fuckers pay to see the rest. My partner and I have this discussion almost on a daily basis ad we always agree that there are too many people giving it all away for free...why should JohnnyAOL pay for anything??

Anyhow, just a word of support/encouragement from a loyal poster.
