Hmm, those are two main requirements of course.. Can I get a list of countries that outlaw porn?

Umm Quasar is nice

Hamburg sucks. Like any other German large city. Prostitution and boats. Woopy.

I'd have to go for Sydney and Prague.

My two favorites.

Marcus 05-22-2003 07:44 AM

If you want nice weather how about Southern California.
From what I hear San Diego has some of the best weather in the world, and you'd be in the center of the porn industry.

My favorite cities are Toronto, Fort Lauderdale, Montreal and Chicago, but those are either too cold in the winter or way too hot in the summer.

Danny_C 05-22-2003 07:47 AM

Las Alamos, NM.

I think nowadays you can break it down pretty easily.

If you like cosmopolitan living with non-stop vibrancy and being around lots of people, any of the major cities of the world near coastlines should do. You can't really tell one from another, except of course for the weather variances. So then you just need to decide what kind of weather you prefer. Most coastal cities are fairly close in terms of weather patterns. Australia's beautiful Gold Coast is a lot like Florida's style for example. New York is one of the greatest cities in the world, but it comes with quite a bunch of neighbors. LA, San Francisco, San Diego are all beautiful places to live. I have friends in London who think there's nothing quite like that city and love the dreariness and constant rain. But cities are cities for the most part.

If you like more relaxed living, but want to still be close to the action, most of the major metropolitan suburbs of the big cities will work. Again, they all look alike for the most part, shopping malls, chain restaurants, movie theatres, parks, tourist attractions, freeways, etc. and you just need to decide on the weather factor. Suburbs of Philadelphia are beautiful. Suburbs of Los Angeles are great. Long Island, White Plains, Scarsdale, all nice suburbs of New York, along with parts of Northern New Jersey.

If you like peace and quiet and could care less about being close to things, head for the deeper inland parts of any of the great countries of the world. Get a nice ranch, where you can't see your neighbors, wake up to the birds and total tranquility, clean air, no need to drive anywhere, etc. In the US, places like Colorado, throughout the midwest, upstate areas of the east coast, are all easy living with minimal stress. Canada has some incredibly beautiful interior areas.

I really love the US. Its more diverse than anywhere else I've ever seen. So the good thing here, you can find exactly what you want because the variety is extensive and covers all three of the broad sprectrums above.

So really what you should decide first is the exact climate you prefer and then go from there.

Personally I'm a big Florida fan now. Its got everything you can imagine except snow and cold weather, which are always just a plane ride away if you get the urge.

Have you ever left the USA? Amsterdam is nothing like Sydney, Rome is nothing like San Francisco, Mumbai is nothing like Hong Kong, London is nothing like Istanbul. Each of these are amazing cities and the most important differences have nothing to do with the weather. I think it's time you did some traveling! :2 cents:

Living For Today 05-22-2003 08:04 AM

those wide pictures of sydney and melbourne were great. dont suppose youve got any of brisbane by any chance!

Kolargol 05-22-2003 08:15 AM

Cracow and Budapest!!!!!!
NYC is great, Amsterdam is ok, London is not bad but you will never find some many fine girls in one place like in Poland and Hungary!
$500 rent for a cool 4-room apt in the centre of the city, $1-2 beer...they are not too expensive either...
Try couple of them, you will choose then.

I have been only in brazilian cities.

Gramado, RS, Brazil is the most beautiful city (at the montains, very calm, lots of threes and romantic)

Rio de Janeiro, RJ, Brazil has lots of nature beauties, nice places to go and hot tanned girls to look but is so fucking hot and the favelas fucks the landscapes. I have been there just once in Feb 2001, but I wouldnt go these days. Fucking drug dealers dominates the entire city.

Sao Paulo, SP, Brazil - where I live since I born. If you can see beauty in buildings, thats a fucking A city. We are the gastronomical city of the world. Near my house there are dozens and dozens of bars and restaurants. Lots of hot and cute girls. If you like shopping centers or the night life this is the city to live.

Fortaleza, CE, Brazil - I love this city, I will move there next month (I will marry June 20th, my fiancee is from there). The city is infested with italians and lots of European tourists. Many are moving to there... I visited the furniture and home stuff stores and I could see lots of them. Its a city near paradisiac beaches.

Florianopolis, SC, Brazil - Nice small capital (its a big Island with only like 300k habitants). I would like to back there but with a car... lots of small and beautiful beaches there that I couldnt see. Very good to surf.

I really doubt this guy is looking to move to Istanbul, Hong Kong, or Mubai.

I'm referring to modern western style cities. Skyscrapers are concrete and steel no matter where you go. Restaurants are restaurants. Entertainment is entertainment. The only thing you might see different is inside each cities Art Museums, some cultural differences here and there, and the race of the people that live there and of course language.

ADL Colin 05-22-2003 09:36 AM

Danny,

You really like NM?

hope you dont mind losing all your hair to gain money :winkwink:

this is truly a great city. those who move here think people are rude and it's not safe but that is so not true. people here are always on the go so to stop and take the blue hair way of explaining things just isnt time feasable. as far as safe, 911 proved just how safe the city is from its own people. not one looting or rioting incident. everyone came together and new friendships were developed.

aside from that, you have more entertainment, art attractions and colleges per square mile then any other place in the country.

i couldnt be more proud to be a ny'er!

San Francisco Bay Area used to be nice, but the fucking traffic there is stupid horrible. The whole place is overpriced and overpacked now.

Too many figgin' people.

But if you can live and survive in the Bay Area for 2 years, you can pretty much live anywhere you want. There's nowhere that I know of that's more expensive on the average. (comparing apartments, condos, etc)

Mr. Jim 05-22-2003 11:19 AM

I am quite fond of Needles California

Mogidishu Somalia has some real estate bargins also

Boston rules dude:thumbsup Tons of University's, great sports (well, sports, not as great as New York, but pro sports anyway), great restaurants, great place. A bit expensive, trsffic is kinda crazy and it's cold, but if your moving, Boston is a top-notch choice. Las Vegas is where I live now and I can say that it's pretty damn awesome here too.
