Not sure if they had this in the UK, but I have never seen it before.

I cannot belive they had such a dark TV show back then.

Grew up watching that on TV - guess it was dark at the time though I was desensitized by Twilight Zone and The Night Gallery and The Night Stalker. (if you want to see dark - watch those) The recent Fantasy Island movie was dark but sadly never lived up to the style of the TV show.

Fucking Ricardo Montalbán is a god.

I was a little bit too young for this when it first came out...

Well I watched the first one.

It seemed way ahead of its time.

          Very dark and disturbing.

Not sure if I was looking too deep but I did wonder if this was a place you go when you die. Before you go to heaven or hell. Or if this was hell or heaven. Hints that he could be the devil is everything has red.

Or is he god, as he seems to suggest that he knows and sees everything.

Why it could be hell is because one of the people who goes is to relive the murder of his love over and over.

Ricardo Montalbán is excellent as a sort of Christopher Lee type character. Not sure if he is good or evil.

It has a hammer films feel to it.

I will have been too young.

I seem to have missed a lot of shows (both UK and USA that were on TV at the time).

I will have been 3 at the time I guess thinking about it.

I tell you the show that devastated me at the time, was the incredible hulk. As the ending music was the most depressing thing going. I would run to the TV to turn it if just as the end music came on. Even now I cannot listen to it.

Being a sad little pervert I would sit close to the tv when wonder woman came on as I convinced myself that when she spun around she would be naked for a second. Even today I do not think anyone is as sexy as Lynda Carter.

The Twilight Zone show that still gets to me is the plane one.

It is why I do not like to go on planes as I fear i will look out and see some little sod rip up the wing.

Even thinking about that one makers me feel ill.

I do remember the love boat.

I love to mention to people the love boat, just so I can sing the theme tune. Its one of the best songs going.

Also I felt sorry for that husband. You know she is going to make his life hell for years. Even when he was with her sister that young bit of fluff he was not happy.

Fantasy Island was brought back a few years ago. Season 2 of the new version just premiered.

                      Spend you some brain.

I tell you one show I loved as a kid was Diff'rent Strokes.

I used to fancy the sister like crazy.

But now it just makes me sad as the sister ended up dead and so has Gary Coleman.

I also loved The cosby show, and thought that was the perfect family. Even today I find it odd to see what Bill Cosby did. I wonder if they still show the cosby show repeats. It was just such a happy show.
