    Business Porn for women - real or not?

    I often read that women enjoy porn almost as much as men, although they prefer different stuff to men - such as 'love making' rather than just a girl getting pounded.

    How true do you think this is? Is there a specific porn market for women?

    When I Google 'porn for women', the porn sites near the top do not appear to be any different in content to any other hardcore tube site, even though they are presented as being for women. Presumably the webmasters are targetting the search term. But then who is doing the searching? Is it men who, for whatever reason, get off on 'porn for women' even though its identical to every other porn?

      There's always been a market for the REAL lesbian porn for real lesbians, in comparison to lesbian porn for guys to watch, but I think in essence, the market for 'Softer More Loving' videos certainly exists, but however it is dwarfed by the sheer volume of 'standard porn' and as such, it disappears...

          Women watch plenty of porn, and they have their own preferences just like men do. So I think "porn for women" is a bit of a broad-spectrum term, but it certainly exists.

          The "porn for women" (niche?) is more softcore and sensual porn, sometimes with hotter men, but I think that's just mislabeled softcore/art porn. The sites you're looking at are probably just cashing in on the search term.

                  Of course there is porn for women - and their tastes are as flexible and diverse as men's. That being said porn for men also includes gay porn. When I had several clients who had gay websites/cams often I would find that banners had brought in a large amount of 'straight' men to watch gay porn (though not the other way around).

                  So women enjoy watching whatever they like and men also like watching gay porn as well.

                          While women watch porn on the net, if your looking to target women I think books have often be far more popular with women.

                          Feminists hate 50 shades of grey because it was purchased by women, and it was about women being subs.

                          Ironically you could argue if porn only existed as a book form, that because of the sales of 50 shades of grey, then the argument would be that only women were interested in porn.

                          I have also heard that porn podcasts are very popular with women. Ones were women read out a sexy story.

                                                                      Several years ago 4women became a huge market segment in the industry, so much so that there were a couple of female webmaster specific message forums just for that niche.

                                                                      Sites like sssh.com and other were market leaders in that demographic and sold really well.

                                                                      I'm sure the market is still there for erotica aimed at women that isnt just hardcore porn for guys that has been cropped or having filters and shitty elevator music added to them.

                                                                      ARS, MaxCash and several other large affiliate programs had sites specifically for this market too.

                                                                                                  A lot of women are not visual-oriented. Audio input is important for many, and that, if anything, is one thing that might make up a reason to have "Women porn" as a term.
                                                                                                  As a personal experience, I can never get off on porn if it's muted or has music instead of actual sound. I suppose "women love with their ears and men with their eyes" goes beyond the infatuation stage.
