I'm going to get yelled at for sure - but every (and I mean EVERY) single Russian company or person I've had as a client (or worked with) in 30 years has screwed me over for a lot of money. They may make good friends - fun to talk to - but not to do business with.
I refuse to work with them and recent situations is merely an excuse to maintain my stanceComment

in the past I worked with a bunch of Russian chicas and they were super cool. professional, nice, never fucked around, same as everyone from everywhere else in the world (but for a miniscule handful of exceptions over a span years and none of the three were Russian)
I'm guessing this is for your IRL stuff right? you already know how to screen; what to look for, how to trust your gut, how to handle the transfer of any funds exchanged. citizenship is not an indicator of anything significant in staying safe and making sure you don't get fucked over
