Where was everyone when I was slaughtered for saying the same thing in a thread when VR was being pushed as the next best thing to sliced bread?

For years VR has desperately attempted to prove they are as good if not better than watching normal porn - and when I disagreed I was called old. I stated that with 5 kids in school that they or any of their friends use VR when asked by me. Stores still have them in dusty boxes with no one even looking at them either out of price or usefulness.

Yes headsets are being used - mostly for gaming but teens aren't our target market.

Those who've tried headsets find them uncomfortable and not a pleasant experience.

VR has it's place for those who like it - but the % is low for users. I wouldn't say it's dead - but certainly needs a breakthru in technology to make them useful for the common user out there - even so - the shooting of VR porn still needs to step up their game to create better angles and scenes that would make a scene worth saving.

I truly wish the best for these pioneers but that's where they are NOT front runners of the industry in content or user choice.

From what I've seen of VR in adult, the producers have no clue of what they are doing. Yeah POV is nice, but not when it's two inches from your face and you physically cannot back away from it.

I just did a deep dive of my VOD and offsite content sales last month. YanksVR videos make 500% to 600% more than a Yanks 2D video does. The average VR consumer spends much more. VR and really AR are eventualities. The new Meta Quest 2 is amazing and the 3 will be even better. I do believe so much VR content is crap and many producers aren't doing it well. The headset is still an issue for porn, but it will continue to grow and evolve. The problem with adult is that unless something or someone explodes over night it is shit to them. They don't look deeply enough at what is really happening. After the initial investment, VR isn't that much more to produce, so 5x and 6x are awesome multiples.

You are missing the mark on this one. VR, AR will get better and better and be around forever. If Zuck would hire some advisors on that end it would already be more heavily adopted.

Look I'm not here to battle since those who love VR are fanatical about it - I'm just stating my opinion that's all (like everyone else). I'd be happy to change it when I or if I see a VR clip that would actually give the effect in watching as you say it should. Until then I'm happy to support your efforts and hope that you actually do reach the heights you deserve - just don't claim them now when you have a % against it

I remember seeing Ice-T (rapper) on a show (I think New York Undercover) playing a game with a "VR Headset" like 30 years ago. Looked awesome and I wanted one.

Bought 2 Oculuses for the kids 2 Christmasses ago. They mostly stay in a toy box and the only one that plays is my autistic nephew who visits from time to time to scream at other kids on the god awful Rec Room.

At the moment, VR is trash. I have zero interest in rubbing one out with a VR headset on. Generally, when it's rub-out time, us men have to be ultra stealthy and swift ninjas that leave no trace of anything ever happening. All your senses have to be on point. A clunky headset with 2 bitch ass joy sticks seems like an unnecessary burden to someone who just wants to knock a quick solo one out unnoticed.

I can't speak for everybody, but when it comes to me and porn, VR has a lot of evolving to do before it can replace the convenience of my phone and hand. Gotta be able to feel it to be worth it. And honestly, just getting the real thing would still be better 🤷 seems like something that should be catered strictly for those incels and neckbeards who don't ever get the real thing at the moment.

Not a fanatic, just my opinion but that con list is pretty weak. Latest smartphone out today will be had by all next year, this happens every year. Product not perfect, sure. Expen$ive, $500? Not really. I have been shooting for 22 years and that is not a bad price point. Easy to lose, so is my wallet, contacts and car keys, so don't lose it.
