PPS or Recurring Commission? Which is better for you?

What type of program do you consider most relevant according to your experience and according to the visits to the site? Pay per sale or recurring commission?

I always found a mix of both worked for us.

Shitty traffic we used to throw at Maxcash and ARS sites and pull their PPS decent traffic, that was targetted went to Revshare, the exception to this was when ARS launched the BYOT program, those sites sold pretty solidly on most types of traffic so long as they looked amateur in style.

Recurring Billing is better for videochat, dating and personal websites where the model manages her own content, such as https://brookelynnebriar.com. Pay Per Signup is better for everything else.

Their isnt a right answer to this

it is all really dependent on what you are promoting

Does the site have recurring value? Is the site good enough to keep the members rebilling or spending?

If yes - recurring

If no - PPS

When I was an affiliate manager for a dating company, we literally had 99% of affiliates asking for PPS over revshare.

Now that I am in crypto casinos, it is mixed, simply because the value of just one player can be $5,000 per month or more. So you'd want to be on revshare for that guy.
At 40%, you are still getting more than $2,000/month just for that one player.

However pay per sale is great is your not legit, as you can find ways to get people to sign up or use stolen credit cards, then hope you get paid and dash before anyone notices. Well that seems to be what happens a few times that has been reported on forums.

I think it really depends on your business model, the product, your traffic cost, and your bankroll.

If you do blogs and send organic traffic to a bunch of niche paysites, revshare is the obvious choice.

Sometimes the program gives you a choice between 50% revshare minus fees where you end up with $11.92 per month, or $35-50 up front... In a lot of those cases the PPS is a better deal.

If you are buying traffic, your costs will be determined by the market and you'll likely have to run a huge float making revshare.

Sometimes the PPS deal just makes sense. I've done volume media buying at $100-150 PPS which the program admitted was a 2-3 year user value, I would not have been able to scale without getting those commissions on day 1.
