I use a Dividend Visa card that pays me 2% back of all purchases. Why would anyone ever use cash for anything when they could charge it and get a percentage back. Over the course of the year - think about how much that could add up if you whip out the CC instead.

my mc makes me airmiles with every purchase. i've got over 50K unused at the moment. i just like watching them build, i don't want to actually use them yet

I am amazed at all the credit card offers I get in the mail. At least one per week. Lately the big US guys are plowing into Canada - MBNA... I have very good credit rating and its like the hordes are at the gate. The latest gimmick seems to be - transfer your outstanding balance over to our card at 5% for 6 months.
