iicinternet.com - any experience wth them ? (I'm looking for new gallery host)

Dirt cheap - there must be catch:
http://www.iicinternet.com/web_hosting_services.php

Anybody who can share their experience about this co.?

Any other offers around for cheap gallery hosting (no scripts!)?
I prefer not to be locked into ongoing high monthly commitments (with summer coming up - in the north)...

I found another few posts about iicinternet dating back to late last year - (almost) all negative...

But what the fuck is about likewhao hosting - go to their page - click the link for 'dedicated' and all I get is Thailandsextours sex tours to beautiful sexy Thailand! and subsequent pop-up hell until browser crashed

Hosting co's:
there is another option - spam me with 'dedicated prices' which I can share with one fellow webmaster (50:50 server share - all up about 12-15 domains, 4 of which are tpgs and associated scripts)!

They suck balls . Lots of downtime and no support when I used them a few years back. Maybe they've changed but I wouldn't bother trying them again...

Some bloody host home pages are a joke (not only the thing which happened to me with likewhao [>above]), but also
· one stating on 'dedicated' overage: $32.50 per 10gigs! I looked a little further down: © 2000
· datahosters.net: "looking for a good hosting solution? LOOK NO FURTHER!" and right below "Down for maintenance and upgrades. support|at|datahosters.net"
Aaargh - I really want to put my sites onto your server!....

No iic hasnt' got any better. I got sucked in by those cheap prices too. I was only there for a month it was so bad. Lots of down time, site really slow, terrible support.

I still use them. They have almost zero support, but for the cheap rates that's fine by me. I have not noticed much if any downtime with them (knock on wood) and I have been with them for a while. My sites load fast and I have a ton of AVS sites hosted by them.

My biggest probelm with them to date is I cannot access my stats, but as long as they don't charge me for going over in bandwidth, this is not a problem for me.

If all you are looking to do is make some galleries then they will work out great for you.

Hi, Flow - thanks for the good words...!

My trouble with 'galleries only hosting' is that I don't have a clue how much bandwidth I might need!

I have been on free hosting so far...
By now I'm really fed up with free hosts, and I guess I would probably get a lot more listings once I'm on paid hosting (= need more bw.), I never bothered too much about image compression on free hosts (there I could probably save bw for an extra 100k hits/day), and my gallery traffic at the moment varies between 450k on really good days, and barely 40k on really bad ones (once in a blue moon), etc.
= TOO MANY UNKNOWN FACTORS!

...and with summer coming up north I'd rather go for some deal where I have to pay only for the bw in advance, see how far I get with a 300-gig package, and maybe then lock myself into a plan by late August = sounds a lot safer to me!

Hey George if you are still looking for some hosting, I still have some transfer on my dedicated server that I am not using. We could probably work something out.

[email protected] - send me an email if you want to talk about it. Or ICQ me at 16229273.
