Our economy right now is doing fantastic. But I see issues on the horizon. There are world wide issues that are going to become a big issue. All countries are dealing with inflation. Russia has gone to war with Ukraine and this is causing energy issues in Europe.
The only logical post in this thread. Does everyone here watch Fox News? The economy is so bad because of the effects of the world shut down and the whole world is dealing with inflation because of it but I see so many signs that things are getting better.

My hometown 20 mins from where I live now is the home of Explorer Vans a company that started in 1980. (Hillary Clinton campaigned in one of their vans) Throughout the pandemic, the lot had 12-20 vans to be converted but in the last 2 weeks when I drive by the factory they have 40-70 vans in the parking lot waiting to be converted. The chip shortage is almost over and cars and other things are being delivered. Inflation was never about politics. Supply and demand were messed up by covid.. not politics.

I wouldn't call it fantastic by no means but we are not heading into a great depression either. I think in the next year a lot of things will improve and others might take a little longer to come back to normal where they were pre-pandemic.

              Totally agree 👍

USA and Russia should work towards a negotiated peace, rather than escalate matters towards a bitter end that could be nuclear war and the end of all life on this planet. USA still sending unlimited amounts of weapons to Ukraine, putting more gasoline into fire.

Interesting seeing all assets losing value. Crypto, stocks, and bonds.

Where is the money going? Living expenses, increasing taxes?

Are you gonna buy anything if prices drop further?

I may bus some Ethereum, a bond fund (7 to 10 year treasuries) and Unilever. If I still have a job.

Call it a conspiracy if you like but many have said Covid was the start of the real currency collapse to bring in a central bank digital currency so we'll see how it plays out.
Also remember that every currency in history has gone to zero.

What? Up until relatively recently every currency was based on precious metals. There's only been a handful of fiat currencies that collapsed.

A couple years back, I was feeling very optimistic on a lot of asset classes -- real estate, stocks, crypto. Now, it is such a troubling and unclear economic environment that it is a challenge to know where to invest. A lot of folks who would normally never hold substantial cash are doing so now.

For those in adult, the coming of CBDC in July could mean just another payment method or it could mean nobody wanting their fap material on their permanent record.

I'm surprised more folks in adult are not discussing these issues.

Also, OP asked about economic investment, not whose fault it is that the economy is a bit of a puzzle now. Your wallet doesn't care who or what to blame. Do you want to invest wisely or just whine/mock others?

The average shelf life of fiat currencies is apprx 25-30yrs, just because some have not collapsed doesn't mean they won't in the future, they all will.

Yup, CBDC's are coming and they are going to (eventually/possibly - most likely) take away some very important freedoms. Seems like nobody really cares about this issue right now, I'm pretty sure ppl of the world are going to let gov/central banks steam roll this onto us, without much of a fight, so I believe it's inevitable, they're coming, and we're going to get fcked bigtime.

That sucks man, will you hold your BTC until its in profit, or will you dump at loss? Patience pays, but not everyone has the strength for it.

You are an idiot who lives in a glass bubble. The economy is shit right now. Has been for the last 18 months. And don't try and blame it on COVID or Trump. Those two are your go-to responses to everything.
