The chain boasts 751 sites with 9,000 screens in 10 countries.

Despite this, the company’s market value has more than halved and it faces debt of more than £4 billion after profits plummeted during the pandemic.

Bosses recently blamed a lack of blockbuster films for lower-than-expected audience numbers.

The group had pinned its hopes on releases such as Top Gun: Maverick, The Batman and Thor: Love And Thunder to aid its recovery.

Way too fuckin expensive to go to a cinema. Booked to take my Son and DiL to see a film in 2017 - I couldn't attend myself in the end, cause I was ill, but they still wouldn't refund my ticket! Total cost of that exercise was over £120 ! Never again... No wonder they are failing...

What really annoyed me though, was that they wouldn't let my son put his iPhone in my empty seat, and facetime me, so I could watch it with them! I made a post about how much it cost and the trouble they gave my son, back at the time it happened!

Fuck Em. Send movies straight to streaming and be done! Its not like cinemas stop piracy anyway...
