Eventually, I was forced to learn Perl and do the stuff myself, thank you perlcoders, you motivated me to learn programming.

I wouldnīt recommend that anyone buy their stuff, itīs going to cost you 2-3 times the amount you expect to pay and many weeks if not months to get it done. (No customersupport, and if you eventually do get it, itīs going to cost you)

Sorry, perlcoders.. I bought from you once and that was one time to many...
Exactly what happened to me. And I never had the desire to learn perl either. Kinda got forced fed on that one.

You know as usually, showing your lack of interest to support your script, lead me to have someone else do it. Which is why I had to have modifications done in the first place. Just the first time it took me months of your lack of support to get the modifications done by someone else. Now I just go right to having someone else do it, when you many excuses come up.

Fortunately I learn from my mistakes. Apparently you don't.

Again for the record, I didn't make any modifications to the script. Your tech charged me to install it, after the install, most of it didn't work.

I am sorry, what did you just say about the modifications?

Boy you guys dont stop do ya =)

ok you have said a number of times that "Ryan" charged you for installation. Then you post an email from Jonathon (old tech) saying this:

> Hi Jon,
>
> This is Bob Starlin, you installed totalavspro for us on
sexpicturespass.com
> a week or so ago.

Now which is it guys?
Did you lie about ryan installing it and charging you or what?

So Nuclei, if you and perl coders are so fucking great, why are people complaining? For the thrill of it? I don't care what business you run, if your customers are unhappy, you are doing something wrong.

This thread explains a lot to me. Thank god I never bought from PerlCoders.

baddog, if they won't support you on unmodified portions of their broken ass scripts, they aren't even worth giving them free exposure on GFY dude. Find yourself a nice programmer who can fix their fuckups and write them off as trash.

You know, I bought a stereo one time that had a warning right there on the cover that said "Removal of this cover voids all warranties, real or implied."

I removed the cover, and after I tried to fry, er, fix it, I took it in for service.

Do you know them goll-durned socksuckers didn't honor their warranty? Even when I threatened to tell everyone that I knew that they were lower than a snake's belly?

jact, it was a MODIFIED part that they wanted us to work on.
The unmodified part WAS fixed .

quoting Foz:
[12:49] <Foz> 1) I fixed the froud checker the first day I heard about it.
[12:49] <Foz> 2) I can't believe I wasted 10 minutes of my life reading that thread.
[12:49] <Foz> 3) I'm not going to try to figure out someone else's code. That's not my job. That's someone else's job.
[12:49] <Foz> 4) you people seriously need a hobby.
[12:50] <Foz> End of story
[12:50] <gz> your my hobby
[12:50] <Foz> nuclei: you can even post that if you want

PornoDoggy, nice summation.

Hey Baddog,

I've had the same problem with perlcoders.
Bought one of their more expensive scripts and it never worked. The programmer from perlcoders could not even get the thing to work and said the whole program needs to be rewritten.
Wasted $1,200.00 and three months of my time.

Cheers,
BOOM

anyone that feels what we have here is an issue with customer service, I am in complete agreement.

I have been trying to get perlcoders to make the script right for several weeks now. nuclei is never going to post the chat logs from the first time we talked, because he admitted that there were issues with the software, and that there was no way goodgirl should have been charged for installing a script and that he was going to make everything right.

goodgirl had told me before we went in the chat what kind of excuses I would hear, and what would happen. When we finished talking with nuclei I told goodgirl that I thought we were going to get this script fixed. We had dealt with the owner instead of some flunky. Things would be taken care of. I hind sight I know her reponse was just being polite. She said we did well, but in her heart she did not believe that anything would happen.

I had goodgirl tell him in an e-mail that if he made this script right, we would both sing their praises whenever possible, and we both knew he could use all the positive publicity he could get, I figured this would be pretty good incentive to actually follow thru.

I felt like a fish when I realized that I was being bullshitted by this guy, and that we were not going to receive satisfaction.

In summary, it was my goal to get this taken care of in a private, professional manner. We did not make the change until after more than a week had passed. We had a business to run, and goodgirl had already gone a year with no support, there was no reason to suspect that these guys were going to do anything.

They promised next day, more than a week passed. Yeah, because I kept on them they eventually had someone look at a script they knew from the gate was faulty, and instead of fixing it, make excuses.

Who cares at what point Foz started working on the script, it was weeks after you said it would be fixed the next day. It was after you assigned it to GZ, and after I can in to your chat wondering what the hell was going on.

One more thing, about your comment that as soon as you discovered that I was the new owner of the company . . . . well, you put it so nicely, so let's use your own words:

Quote:
Once goodgirl told us that we DID respond to you. and you did get help.

If I'm going to be debugging what is wrong with the fraud checker, I need
you to send me ssh(or telnet) login information to your server. I will be
connecting from 209.126.222.250.

If you can set that up for me, I'll be able to take a look at what is

You know what he did? I couldn't get the Globill script that Ryan sent me to work. And happen to find another avs system owner that happen to mention Taz knew what the hell he was doing. So I ask him to install it for me. Which he did. In less then 5 mins. LOL, so the first time, the very first time someone other then perl coders worked on the script, was 8 months after perl coders didn't do the job. And he got it up in 5 mins. In 5 mins I had a site that actually had a chance to make me money. And that was after 8 months of hoping perl coders would get off their asses. (Oh I bet that is threatening, but then again it isn't BULLSHIT)

The modification you are worry about with flynt, is a HTML page, not even a script. It is on our sign up page. It is the same place a link exactly like that one would point to any of the 3rd party billing systems.

But you have made it pretty clear in the last year, that you have no clue how the script even works. And you can quote Foz all you want. The code you are claiming is a modification, is in a page that would have to be modified by anyone who purchased the script.

dotmpl2 is the command in that script to tell where is your sign up page. The sign up page is one I had to build anyway...So what modifications is the problem? Oh yes, you don't know how to support your script. It must just be easier to find excuses not to.

Then your chat logs:
Tue Apr 22

[04:02] <05nuclei> what issues are you having?
[04:02] <05baddog> I will let goodgirl list them, she has a better memory than I
[04:02] <05nuclei> i was asking her as she apparently is the customer
[04:03] <05_goodgirl_> Well he actually owns more of the site them me now
[04:03] <05baddog> you are absolutely correct, I just came in and inherited the problems
[04:03] <05nuclei> who owns the site doesnt matter to me =)
[04:04] <05nuclei> what issues are you having goodgirl

Also, why don't you put the date of the logs between you and Foz? 4/22 was the first time you and I spoke. Check out the date on this e-mail from Foz:

If I'm going to be debugging what is wrong with the fraud checker, I need
you to send me ssh(or telnet) login information to your server. I will be
connecting from 209.126.222.250.

If you can set that up for me, I'll be able to take a look at what is
wrong.
Thanks in advance.

Just how long were we supposed to wait? We had waited a year, two more weeks had gone by before our first contact from Foz. goodgirl had no faith in you guys, so she went ahead and started working on fixing the script that you admitted had issues.

Oh damn, now where the hell is that elusive week or so that went by because goodgirl emailed us saying she thought she had it licked?? You remember that email, the one that was pasted to you in chat when you finally showed up thinking we were to blame, then you shut up rather quickly when you found out wow, it wasnt our fault that a week plus had gone by without us doing anything. Of course we didnt. Goodgirl told us she would email if she needed us for anything more. But wow again, Foz got the fraud checker fixed the next day after you apologized for her mistake did he not?

How odd that you failed to mention that little fact baddog.

Grow up man.

Stop trying to spin things to look how you wish.

I don't know about all of that..

I do know that 100% of the scripts that I now use to pay our bills and support our family are Perlcoders scripts, written by Nuc and his coders.

I have had several custom mods written by Nuc, depending on what I want the scripts to do at the moment.

Everything works flawlessly, and I have always been happy with the support and response time.

Goodgirl,

First off keep digging the hole, Posted earlier was GZ (the first tech who ended up in hospital long before Foz became involved)

Now GZ has emails of you admitting that you have had people altering the code. This was BEFORE Foz ever talked to you.

So saying now that Taz worked on it AFTER you talked to Foz is just hillarious. The script was altered. Foz fixed the fraud checker which had not been altered and refused to figure out someones elses code in the altered version.

you can continue to attempt to spin this any damn way you want, it doesnt change the facts hun. Nor does it seems to stop you from further condemning yourself in your own words and quotes.

I run my business with ALL Perlcoders scripts and NOT once have I had any complaint...not once. Of course, I don't modify anything either I wouldn't expect Perlcoders to fix something I screwed up. I guess I'd try to hire someone else so Nuc didn't know I messed up his script.

Nuc and Jamie have always been there for support, maybe not at 4am, but during normal business hours, like most businesses.

PerlCoders feeds my kids ! And just for the record, going back thru all of this thread, there are not ALOT of people that are unsatisfied with Perlcoders, just a few....Can't make everyone happy all the time Nuc.

Obviously some are seeing the real issue.

LOL yes obviously you are missing them. And not addressing the fact that I waited for 8 months for perl coders to do support work. And after 8 months, of not honoring that so called warrarnty you can say I bought a new coder that was willing to do the job.

Just like anyone who buys a stereo that doesn't work, and the company they bought from doesn't honor the warranty...They would at some point just go out and buy another new stereo.

Infact, I bet most people wouldn't wait the 8 months to hear the music.

well, let me see, did he own the stereo for a year, and after unsuccessfully trying to get support to make it so that he could actually use it for something other than a paper weight?

I have purchased electronics that did not work, and when the companies support failed, I took it to another qualified repair person. You know what? 5 years later, when a new problem developed (I had an extended warranty) the original company (Magnavox) did not say shit about the fact that I had paid someone else to try and fix the problem. In fact, they gave me a brand new, top of the line TV at cost, and subtracted the money that I had spent getting it fixed by someone else. Why? Because they knew there was a problem with the set, and they stand behind their product.

7 years after the purchase, and after having other techs try their hand at fixing it, Magnavox stepped up and gave me their newest model 50" set for about $200, because they knew there was a problem with the set they sold me 7 years prior.

You know that TAVS Pro sucks, you admitted there were issues. You admitted that goodgirl should not have been charged by your techs to install the script.

Why don't you break down and post the logs from 4/22? the complete discussion. I am sure everyone would love to see your support in action. I would think you would want to show it off

What 8 months exactly?

here is the whole conversation we had that night:

Quote:

[04:17] <05nuclei> taz doesnt work here
[04:17] <05nuclei> and really doesnt seem to know much about what he is doing to be quite blunt
[04:17] <05nuclei> i like the guy
[04:17] <05_goodgirl_> well he should for as much as he has fixed errors for that specific script
[04:17] <05baddog> yes, that is the question, I know that goodgirl is your original customer, but I hate it when I know she is still shelling out dollars, and when I am shelling out dollars because I don't like the idea of her shelling out dollars
[04:18] <05baddog> and even more so, that there are thigs that still don't work
[04:18] <05nuclei> the question is, why does she have someone who doesnt work here work on it, when we offer free support
[04:18] <05_goodgirl_> well that is easy
[04:18] <05baddog> well, my understanding was . . . let me quote her
[04:19] <05baddog> want the login for perlcoders so you can go in there chatroom and see if anyone will help (which I doubt, they all seem to be lazy and non caring)
[04:20] <05nuclei> if she generally comes in after business hours im not surprised
[04:20] <05baddog> so essentially it was a lack of response from perlcoders that has made her seek assistance elsewhere
[04:20] <05nuclei> you actually got lucky I am even awake
[04:20] <05_goodgirl_> as many times as I have tried working with perlcoders and nothing being done or it taken weeks to do things..or lets see, I was told for months that a billing portion for the script was being made, and guess what never got it. Oh and I read on GFY how you guys Require to install the script to prevent errors, it took you guys 3 weeks to install it for me, and you made me pay for it lol
[04:20] <05baddog> e-mail
[04:20] <05nuclei> made you pay for what goodgirl?
[04:20] <05nuclei> "it took you guys 3 weeks to install it for me, and you made me pay for it lol"
[04:21] <05nuclei> made you pay for what? and more specifically "who?"
[04:21] <05_goodgirl_> to install the script
[04:21] <05baddog> she had to pay to get TAVS installed by Ryan
[04:21] <05_goodgirl_> Ryan
[04:21] <05nuclei> how much?
[04:21] <05_goodgirl_> you told me that ryan would install it and charged to do it, so I paid and waited
[04:21] <05nuclei> ryan knows better
[04:21] <05_goodgirl_> I can look it up in paypal, it was only 25 or 30, but still
[04:21] <05nuclei> uhhh ryan does design and charges for it
[04:22] <05nuclei> or to integrate your design
[04:22] <05nuclei> not to install the script
[04:22] <05_goodgirl_> I guess i figured if I had to pay for support I might as well pay someone that does it right away and not take their time
[04:22] <05_goodgirl_> nope
[04:22] <05_goodgirl_> he didn't do that, I did
[04:22] <05_goodgirl_> I did all the templates
[04:22] <05nuclei> would you mind sending me an email to that respect and ill make damn sure he pays you back pleas
[04:22] <05nuclei> [email protected]
[04:23] <05_goodgirl_> ok
[04:23] <05nuclei> installation has always been free the first time
[04:23] <05nuclei> and he damn well knows it
now, here we have several things to be aware of.

#1. You came in at 4am, when you have been told by other customers sitting in there that our tech support hours are from 10am on to early evening. You ignore this advice and "of course" find no help. As the log says, you are lucky I was even awake at that hour working on a rush job for a client.

#2. Goodgirl says Ryan installed the script and charged her for installation. Yet in her quoted email ina post above it clearly shows that Jonathon Scalf installed it and for free.

#3. That goodgirl didnt come to us for support during all the prior timeframe and that she instead had a third party alter the code.

#4. The billing mod that goodgirl says she never got in the above paste. This was also mentioned in a post above that she had gotten it and could not get it installed or could not get it working one.

How many other inconsistancies should I need to point out guys?

Pretty straightforward, and as pornodoggy pointed out quite clearly, go against the terms and guess what?

Now, I have much better things to do than keep bitchslapping you with facts. I personally think enough has been shown and according to all the ICQ's ive gotten enough people see the real deal, so im off, and this thread is done as far as I am concerned.

Goodbye

haha

Post the whole convo, where I looked up at paypal and told you that it was Jonathon Scalf, And look in this thread again, where you can see the paypal transaction which I sent him $25. (uhm I guess I see what you mean by free) Spending $25= Free.

You are just so good.

you post 6 minutes of an hour long discussion and say that is the entire conversation?

And WTF are you talking about when you say "You came in at 4am, when you have been told by other customers sitting in there that our tech support hours are from 10am on to early evening. . .. "

That was my first time ever at your site, much less your chat. So quit with your lies, and twisting of the facts. You have a piece of shit script, and even worse support. You have made that pretty obvious to everyone here.

Hey William,

We had this arguement on hahahahahahaha last year about total date. Yes I talked to Guy and you quite abit about the problems with total date( I still have about 70 of the emails in a folder).
Most of my emails to you where about trying to get a hold of Guy since no one else knew anything about the script.

Guy tried for about a year to get the program to work and in the end, said the whole program had to be rewritten to get rid of the bugs(see below).

On Sat, 30 Sep 2000 21:44:01 +0100, Guy Powell wrote:

I woudl like to appologise for teh quality of the script, its not upto any
of my other scripts and was probably released prematurley - capturing bugs
and tracking si then a problemafter a wide-scale release. My reputation
matters as its my pay check It'll be worth the wait it will implement
various points missing from original one as well

Guy

He then left perlcoders and no one else at perlcoders did anything about the bugs in the script.

You where going to refund my money, but that never happened.

Cheers,
BOOM

I bought some scripts from them including TAVS. But I never used them because they bring me so many problems. I waste the money.

Support is hard to get too.

I don't know if there are any AVS's besides ours that have been able to make this thing work. I have talked to several people that attempted to start AVS's using that script, but they had to rethink that idea.

Nuc,

You won't go anywhere with baddog. He's one of those people who gets it in their head he's right and unless you let him paint himself in the corner, he won't go away.

Porndoggy said it the best. I'll even put in another analogy. My AirCondition wasn't blowing cold enough for me in the car, I pop up the hood, and start playing with the AC unit, I think it needs more freon. It blows cold for a bit, then goes totatlly hot.

I take it in to the car dealer, it's not convered under warranty.

Don't understand why some people can't understand this.

thanks for your valuable insight, now since you don't have any idea WTF you are talking about, nor do you know the circumstances, why don't you go back to sleep.

If you purchased a script from them, and could state how happy you were with the product and support you received, then you might have some valuable input, as it stands you have none of the above.

Whoa Old Man, calm down before you give yourself a stroke.

I have purchased a script from Will. I have received support for those scripts. I have also received support from Nuc on other things. Hell the fucker taught me how to make my consoles work in my first month. He has been helpful to me over the years and I can hit him up at 2 or 3 in the morn and he'll help with a tech issue no problem.

That's maybe because I'm not an asshole like you, who rubs everyone the wrong way to show he's "Baddog".

I want to show my respect to Senior Citizens, so I'll merely just say, enough said.

of course it is highly modifed.
No intelligent webmaster wants to have the exact same system as anyone else. I dont know of a single copy that isnt modded to suit their wants or tastes.

But i will say that when James was asked before his words were to the effect of "Tavs is a very good base script, but you should modify it to meet your needs."
