Do you not have good sports medicine and physical therapy where you are? There are typically things which can be done, although they might or might not be worth the dough to you if it is likely to resolve on its own. Depending on the injury, there are options for hot or cold or targeted massage or laser or ultrasound etc., not to mention PRP and more advanced treatments if it is not healing.

Your story is part of the reason the system is so fucked up; people going to see a doctor or emergency room for some bullshit strain. No one makes you fill the prescription.
