    Best Fathers Day Ever

This past month has been a difficult one... In order... Our AC went out and had to be replaced, my father died, and then I got COVID.... I am a very upbeat and positive person who is always happy about life but this was a bit much.

My wife asked me what I wanted to do for Father's Day and I told her I wanted to take our dog THOR to San Francisco to see our daughter and play on the beach and then eat pizza. And that's exactly what we did. It was perfect.

I hope everyone had a father's day that was as good as my father's day.

I think so too; but it could just be a comparative thing.

RIP to your dad. I also lost my dad on April 25th and my stepbrother on April 14th this year.

Glad you had a good fathers day with your family

this decade thus far can go fuck itself far as I'm concerned

lost my dad at the end of March (same day as my eldest cat, double whammy)

spent most of yesterday just sobbing and reading and blazing like a mofo. and cuddling my cats

@Rochard and SBJ, my sincere condolences. I know how it feels

my friends wanted to be with me but I felt guilty as most of my friends grew up w/o dads (death, desertion, incarceration). with privilege comes pain

they wouldn't us to cry tho, focus instead on happy memories. thru the pain we were lucky to have them while we did

            much love to all

My grandfather died on Father's Day '77 so my father was never much for celebrating the day. That's what I think about when I miss my dad on Father's Day...how much he hated it.
